This thing works very well. And it would have drawn all five stars if it had a better operating manual. Everybody doesn't know how to work on AC, but in todays economy one has to try and learn.

This refrigerant leak detector has been used on several vehicles. When reading reviews I was hesitant based on some of the things I read. Hopefully my review will help you understand how fantastic this thing is. I paid full price for this and I’m not receiving any compensation for leaving this review. I am giving this such a glowing review because of how simple and effective it is. I used this first on an R134a Ford E250 superduty. This detector found the leak within 30 seconds. There was a small crack in the front of the condenser between the fins. I have also used this on 1234YF refrigerant vehicles. The first one I used it on was able to locate a leaking Schrader valve within five seconds. If I were to break or lose this tool I would absolutely purchase another one. Note, this thing charges via USB-C very quickly. The tone this emits when approaching the leak is extremely handy, you don’t even need to look at the screen to pinpoint the area.

Worth the $$$ spent.Found the leak in seconds, I used a cheaper one before and couldn't find the leak at all.

I purchased the to use when I am unable to plug in my old school H10. Now that I have put some time in with it I am very surprised how well it works for 1/3 of the cost of other devices I have used.Would definitely purchase again.

Funktioniert ausgezeichnet, ist sehr empfindlich was das aufspüren von Lecks betrifft.Aber dafür ist es ja gemacht. Hätte ich mir schon früher kaufen sollen, das hätte die Fehlersuche erheblich erleichtert.

It did not work. It couldn’t detect my leak and gave false positives. Had to buy a second leak detector, this time from harbor freight, to find my leak. You know it’s junk if it is out performed by a hobo freight tool.

I have a Bacharach H10 Pro that works great but it’s big, bulky and very expensive. I wanted a leak detector that was hand held, light weight, rechargeable and inexpensive enough to keep in my van. I have found several leaks in evaporators so far with this Xetron and I haven’t found one yet that the H10 Pro could pick up but this one couldn’t. I am very happy with this leak detector and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone. The case is great and has hinges and the latches are great quality also. I know it’s made in China by a Chinese company but every other American brand name that I considered was made in China also but had a American brand stamped on it and are 3 to 5 times more expensive.
