Redmond First Aid for Horse Injuries

horse wound care, Redmond First Aid, proud flesh horse treatment, bentonite clay wound cream

Why and How to Use It

Horse injuries happen! Cuts, bites, burns and wounds sometimes occur on horses' legs, face, and other areas. Being prepared with some simple first aid measures—and a good wound healing cream—will help you prevent infection, scarring, and other damage to your horse.

Redmond First Aid ointment is completely natural. It's just hydrated bentonite clay. It soothes on contact, then goes to work drawing out heat and infection from wounds and relieving pain. The clay also seals the affected area, creating a protective barrier against bacteria and flies. Proud flesh is prevented from forming while healing occurs, resulting in a clean, rapid repair. Use it to draw infection, relieve inflammation and pain in horse injuries like:

  • Sores and cuts
  • Open wounds
  • Skin irritations
  • Rope burns
  • Insect bites and stings
  • Hoof abscesses

First Aid for Horses is easy to apply and goes to work quickly. Just follow these three simple steps to promote fast healing:

  1. Mound a thick layer of First Aid over your horse’s wound.
  2. Continue applying it once or twice daily.
  3. A wrap can be used to keep the clay moist and protect the wound, but is not necessary.

NATURE’S BEST WOUND HEALING CREAM FOR HORSES & HUMANS

Redmond First Aid is made from bentonite (also known as montmorillonite), an age-old healing clay with incredible—and incredibly diverse—curative properties. Some call it Mother Nature’s pharmacy. We call it the “clay of a thousand uses.” First Aid ointment is handy in so many situations, and can be used to heal wounds and soothe irritations on both you and your horse! Keep it close by in your barn, trailer, and saddlebag for unexpected mishaps that occur at home, on the road, or along the trail. Make Redmond First Aid your first choice for natural healing for you and your horse.

Bought this for myself, but made my fine hair too limp. Works great on horse’s manes and tails, and less expensive that Cowboy Magic Detangler!

This clay was great. I mixed it with essential oils for my horses cut. It was a huge cut with proud flesh, about 3 inches. Now her cut is only about 1/2 and inch healed over.

This is the best product I have seen on the market for helping to dry up 'fly bite' allergy rubs that are serum filled. It appears to be soothing when applied, as it feels cool and moist!Highly recommend!

This is a great healing treatment for animals. My beagle got into red ants and had lots of bites. This was very effective.

I was looking for an alternative to silver spray and found this. If put on dry area it stays on. My horse did not enjoy spray so had to switch. Will always have this on hand especially in the summer!

Love this for cuts and scrapes for my kids! They used to make one specifically for people but I couldn't find it. Got this instead. Helps heal super quick and stays on better than neosporin
