I really can't say enough good things about this crawler! I got it with the intention of upgrading stock parts when they broke or wore out and I'm still waiting for something to break. Very durable right out of the box! Easily my favorite purchase of the year so far!!

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BUY A NOTHER BRAND! THIS CRAWLER IS JUNK! Over all this rock crawler looks to be a good truck NOT! Not even a full battery pack and it bent a front axle when ran over some tall grass That's right tall grass. Second axle bent while driving it around my yard. Now there are 2 versions of this crawler one is a sport and the other is a pro the pro uses a cva front axle where the sport does not. At this point I called customer service to see if there was a problem with the type of axle that is used in the sport because they keep bending and to see if they started using the cva to solve this problem and the rep said he did not know of any problems with the axle used in the sport and that most likely is was not installed right. Now in the last 20 years I have had over 25 different RC trucks and cars everything from HPI BAJA 5b's to Traxxas rustlers and slashes to Losi's nitro and electric so i do know how to repair RC's. BOTTEM LINE THIS IS MY FIRST AND LAST REDCAT JUNK.

This was my first hobby grade truck . There is a wide choice of replacement and up grade parts .It can take some abuse while learning . A solid truck for that price range .

This is a great deal on a relatively capable RC crawler. The one I received had a manufacturers defect. The axle c holder was broke. That said Amazon was helpful and responsive. I did work with Redcat Racing on some of the issues caused because of the defect and I can not stress enough how pleasant and helpful the support team at Redcat is. I highly recommend any Redcat vehicle due to the US-based support staff and their willingness to help solve any problems. As far as the capabilities of the Redcat Everest Gen 7 Sport, I highly doubt that you can find an RTR crawler that out of the box is any more capable no matter how much you are willing to spend.

Bought the burnt orange one for my wife, and the silver one for myself. The stock charger is pretty slow but the battery lasts a long time. I was ready for the battery to die so I could go do something else but it kept going and going. After charging, I adjusted the servo control and tuned the steering to run straight. The steering can be improved with a dremel tool in about 3 minutes, look for the videos on YouTube. A crack has developed in my truck body. I put duct tape inside to hopefully stop it from cracking further. I added lights on both bodies. The lights plug into the empty slot on the speed control and run off the main battery without much drain as these are LED bought from Amazon for about $12. I'd recommend and I don't regret saving $200 each over comparables.

To all those people out there that are interested in the red cat generation seven radio control truck, this truck I think is one of the best you can buy for the money. I'm new at this hobby but I paid particular attention whenever you go to the YouTube videos and watch what the people that have this truck can actually do against the other trucks which are much more expensive and have all the latest gizmos. I've added headlights taillights and the six-inch light bar which works really awesome "pay attention and try to get the light bar that has the little tiny lightbulbs to rows, so far that things indestructible I've rolled this truck down the side of the steepest hills and it's only now starting to crack the Lexan body in one of the mold areas by the door. Articulation is good I'm sure it could be improved but it's absolutely amazing where this thing will go depending on who's driving it. The only thing I would recommend is getting different tires which are much softer and applied more grip this makes a world of difference. Generally the only thing that will stop this thing from climbing is either the dirt is to loosen you dig a hole or your traction is to good annual flip over backwards! I also did one other item because it does have quite a bit of speed to it and it makes it more difficult to climb rough terrain because it bounces around too much it's too sensitive. Replace your pinion gear with a 13 tooth, it still has fairly good speed to get out a hill without losing control but allows you the sensitivity and the controller to rock crawl.
