A translucent cover helps you see the connections made and offers additional protection.One thing is that a silicone stopper fell out of the bottom of the positive block causing the post to move up and down freely and potentially exposing a conductive surface on the backside. I pushed it back in to replace it. Depending on how or where you mount these, an exposed post might cause problems.
