I wasn't sure about the grit, but it is perfect for stropping a knife, after using a stone, and before using the fine green compound.

I bought this to use on my stropping belt when sharpening my knives. It works really good and should be enough here for my kids, kids, kids!

I would have given 6 stars if I could. It is coarser than the green one and this is exactly what I wanted.The green is very fine and its time consuming to jump from 8k stone to it. The red seems like a perfect intermediary.I never used it but I understood from the comments that the white one is in the middle between red and green from THIS BRAND (Rouge).
