If your home central air system is located in your attic and has a condensate over flow tray with no float safety, I highly recommend you purchase this switch and install it. It will if installed correctly prevent damage to your ceiling caused by water over flowing from the condensate tray.

Great for turning things on and off when the water gets to a certain level. Although the instructions are very specific. It can be used for many other things.

Easy install a must have for Attic unit. Took about 5 minutes to install with a screw driver and some zip ties.

I bought this to replace an 15 year old Rectorseal AG 1100 one on my 15 year Trane HVAC . My old one still worked as it had continuity but who is to say for how long and it didn't have the test option. My brother and sister in law's one failed and their condensation drain pipe stopped up. They weren't home and had a huge leak through the ceiling and on the floor costing thousands in repair and the hassle of insurance etc. Best part is this has a tester on it, while the AC is running if I'm up in the attic I can pull up on the knob and it shuts the AC down. It even has another wire for an alarm you can buy separately but I haven't bought one yet. I turned off the power to the main unit and made sure I had no low voltage with my Fluke meter. It's two wires to hook up and you're ready to go!UPDATE: 3-17-21 Be sure and test this sensor often! I was doing my spring AC maintenance and tested it and it wouldn't shut off my AC. Connections are good and tight with no corrosion and it took 12 times pulling up on the test rod for the float switch to finally turn the AC off. I no debris under it in the drain pan, just over a year and it's not working right. Made in China junk. I'll be trying another brand.
