Rectorseal Better Bubble detects leaks of refrigerant gases, air, oxygen, and most other gases. Its thick formula can be used at various temperatures and pressures with all types of pipe, tubing, valves, tanks, A/C and refrigeration coils, and similar applications. I was concerned that the product would foam erroneously when sprayed at a possible failed seal. Not only did it not foam but the slight viscosity caused the product to cling to the fittings so long that I decided to wipe it off with a damp towel. Then I became concerned that it might be too viscous and no buble or foam with a minute leak. So, I checked the fittings with a less viscous backup brand that I dabbed on, still no foam or bubbles. I think I'm good. Oh, and the left over will be used when I hookup my portable generator to LPG or NG using temporary, flexible lines and quick connects.

EXCELLENT product! We had been trying to chase down a slow, slow propane leak for a while. Used soap and water solutions and a cheap "sniffer" to no avail. Found the small leak quickly with this. I was a little concerned that it would be too watery, but it is viscous enough to cling effectively. I was also worried that the spray bottle application would cause "frothiness" that would obscure the leak, but it didn't. It clung enough to outlast any of that, yet it is liquid enough to spray and cover a larger area well.

This is the best bubble test solution I have ever used. It produced copious bubbles like a bubble machine. No problem finding the leak. Jut open the nozzle enough to get a stream instead of a mist. On small/slight leaks it produced a large quantity of very fine foam.
