Instant fix, full replacement for teflon tape, and it actually holds pressure immediately after application.

Life saver. Sealed a leak at the pool pump drain valve after a critter chewed up the plug and seat. Much cheaper than a pump housing replacement! No leaks.

Had a leaky outdoor woodstove fitting that teflon tape was not working well on. Applied this and no more leaks.

These worked well for my plumbing project installing an on demand in the RV. No problems threading them in after application of this and Teflon tape. No leaks the first time.

I recently got my hands on the Rectorseal 23710 T Plus Pipe Thread Sealant, and I’ve got to say, it’s a game-changer for my DIY projects! Compared to other sealants I’ve used, this one is in a league of its own. 💪First off, it’s super easy to apply. The consistency is just right—not too thick, not too runny. It spreads smoothly on the threads and provides a perfect seal every time. I’ve used other products that were either a mess to work with or didn’t hold up under pressure. But with Rectorseal, I’ve had zero leaks, even with high-pressure water lines. 🚿What really sets it apart is its versatility. Whether you’re working with PVC, metal, or even CPVC pipes, this sealant gets the job done. I’ve tried a few other brands before, but none of them offered the same level of performance across different materials. Plus, it’s resistant to all sorts of chemicals, which is a big plus for those of us dealing with various fluids in our projects. 🔧Also, it doesn’t harden or crack over time, which means I can trust my connections to stay secure for the long haul. For anyone who’s serious about plumbing or any kind of pipework, Rectorseal 23710 is a must-have in your toolkit. Highly recommend! 🌟

Pipe sealant is used to fill the gaps between the thread to prevent leaks. This works for low-pressure air and fluid connections. I use it on water pump bolts, air compressor gauges, and anywhere there are two different material metal parts threaded together. By using sealant on the bolts, the risk of leaks is greatly reduced, ensuring that the engine remains properly lubricated and cooled. In addition to preventing leaks, sealant can also help to prolong the life of the water pump. By creating a tight seal between the bolts and the pump, sealant helps to prevent corrosion and other forms of damage.

Despite how much I hate applying this stuff, this is the only stuff that works pretty much every time I put it on a connection unless I forgot to put some in the backside of a thread. This time around, I was trying to seal some couplings to my water heater by using PFTE tape only, but only to have to take it apart again once the connections started leaking.Instead of using PFTE tape, I just slapped a liberal amount of this goop on the threaded connections and then tighten the connections back up. No leaks! Some people say the connections are stronger when both are being used, but I never really had issues with just using this compound by itself. Since this sealant does not dry up and stays pretty much goopy at all times, it does get pretty much everywhere (on the connections, on your hands, on your shirt, etc), especially if you applied a liberal amount on the connections. It has a consistency that is similar to petroleum jelly, so it's not something that can just be washed off with water (although it does rinse out slightly easier than petroleum jelly would). If you are going to be working with this, make sure you are wearing clothing you do not care too much for.One good side to this goopiness is that it serves to lubricate the connections so that if you happen to want to undo the connections in the future it does not get frozen or stuck. I think this is a good buy considering that it works every time and that it is also cheaper on Amazon compared to what I can get in the local hardware shop.
