Product Description

RecPro logo title.
Black extreme duty corrugated poly underbelly material.

Polyurethane Underbelly has been one of the industry-standard materials for the underbelly of mobile homes since the early 1980s. That's because this material is solid, flexible, and strong, able to protect and insulate the sensitive structural components on the bottom of a mobile home. This DARCO wrapped underbelly, in particular, is a heavy-duty, corrugated, 1/8" thick piece meant for the tougher jobs.

Durable in cold and humid environments, fiber and dust free, lightweight.

This material is tarp-like (non-industrial grade) and black in color, perfect for blending in with the darker shadows of the underbelly and creating a seamless look. Being water-resistant as well as protective against other outside elements, this material keeps the outside from invading the inside of your RV, whether driving or parked. DARCO,, specifically, is highly resistant to punctures and tears. With a thicker material like this 1/8" extreme duty wrapped underbelly, you can be sure not to get any unhappy surprises on your RV underbelly while on vacation.

This stuff is great for insulating under the trailer for cold weather camping. Warm it with a heat gun and it will mold to almost every curve and bend. Just hold it in place until it cools and it retains the shape.Their expensive tape doesn't work very well. The day after I put it on, it was all laying on the ground.

I used it for the underbelly of my RV.

I had removed the factory underbelly to run some wires, but the old one wasn't reusable. This is an exact replacement, which I installed with self-drilling screws and fender washers rather than powder driven fasteners. It'll make life easier in case I need to get back in there. I also took the liberty of rerouting some ductwork, tidying up wiring, and adding 1/2 in polyiso foam under the coroplast.

We never got the first one we ordered. Finally, almost two months later, a new roll was shipped out.It is finally installed under our toy hauler and it is almost the perfect fit.A bit hard to maneuver around hoses/pipes but a better quality than the original underbelly protection.

We damaged the underbelly on the travel trailer on our last trip to Texas and back, I think we went over some piece debris on the Interstate and it bounced up and knocked out a bunch of it or something. I used a bunch of self-tapping ⅜" screws with pilot holes and this worked like a champ. I removed the old stuff for half the length of the RV and started this with about 1 foot of overlap to the old stuff at the half-way point to the rear. I just rolled it out and this went on surprisingly easy. I think I had guessed it would be about a half-day of effort, and frankly, I was done in about an hour or two. Very high-quality stuff, some kind of composite, I expect it will be good for another 50,000 miles or so like the OEM stuff it replaced.
