Just what I needed to seal out dust from gravel roads. Sticks and seals tail gate top and bottom GMC 2024. Second truck I’ve bought this for. Satisfied!

Since installing this around the outside edges of the tailgate hardly anything gets in and if it does its from the glass section of the topper where it is not closed off completely.

It may say it wont fit the truck but its a universal kit.Make sure you find out the location you want this to stick cause it really sticks. Also try the location before fully sticking it down. It held to much pressure on the tailgate release to a point it was very hard to open. Moved it an inch and works great.

If I could give 0 stars for adhesion and value for money I would. The product has been on the truck for less than 2 months and the adhesive has already quit working along the bottom of the tailgate. We followed the exact instructions for application--the sides are sticking just fine, but the adhesive has completely given away along the bottom of the tailgate. The customer service for this product is awful! They don't offer any possible solutions to fix it or stand behind their product. They just try to sell you another seal! Purchase at your own risk, maybe we just received a defective one.

This rubber is a good product with excellent adherence if you follow the directions and ensure a clean surface before mounting. Worked well on an F150 tailgate and with a bit of fiddling and cutting I was able to get an effective seal on the lid. No more dust and sand finding it’s way into the bed. Seems to stand up to the abuse of opening and closing the tailgate so far. Have not experienced any sagging or compression and it sticks where it’s supposed to. Good product.

Installed 3 months ago, vertical sides worked great. However due to thickness, when I closed tailgate the friction pushed horizontal seal off in about a week. Had to remove.

The product is easy to install and provides great dust protection. Although it does not work with a spray in bed liner on a Ram 1500. The liner catches and pulls the seal down peeling off the double sided tape. I contacted the supplier and they are giving me a full refund.

I used this on my 2019 Ford f-150 with a spray-in box liner. It's less than 30 bucks and installs easy and sticks great, so far. If they would include 2 manufactured corner pieces to incorporate into the corners, this would work much better.Enough material is included to cut a small piece to test the positioning before you put the strips on. The seal needed to be angled toward the tailgate at the top of the box as the gap widens. As they recommend, only lightly press the seal down as it is easier to move and adjust because once you press it down, it sticks. I cleaned my liner very well but the little alcohol cleaning pad didn't last for the whole area (you use it after cleaning with soap and water). This seal won't last long if you drag items in and out of the box over it so you will need to be careful with any items that may drag on it. But for the price, another could be purchased and installed.Dec. 2023 update - still sticking on as good as the day I installed it.

This worked on my 2012 Dodge RAM. Don't just start sticking this to the truck. Get inside the bed and look for light entering the bed, especially if you can close off the bed with a tonneau or cap, so you know how large the gaps are and where they are. Sometimes the weatherstripping will need to be installed to a different surface to successfully fill the gap. If I had installed the weatherstripping where the generic instructions seemed to suggest, it would have needed to be 1" thick. Look at it. Test fit it. Then, think about peeling the cover off the adhesive. With a little thought, I was able to keep the fine dust out of my tools in my truck bed.10 feet of generic D weather stripping may do the job for half the price. This product has a triple bead that might be better at blocking the infiltration of dust. I haven't done a comparison.

I purchased this because I live on a gravel road and have a Truxedo bed cover. The install was straight forward but I have a a sprayed-in bed liner and while the adhesive does stick very well, it made it difficult to install it along the bottom where I wanted.I purchased a second one of these and installed the bottom seal upside down from what the directions show because of where my spray-in bed liner stops at the end of the bed. By doing this, it eliminated any dust coming in from the bottom between the tail gate and bed.Overall, this is a good product and I was actually surprised how well the adhesive stuck.

I have a 2006 Tacoma and I wasn't sure it was going to fit as it seemed rather thin. So I planned the route a little better and to my surprise it fit very well! When I shine a flashlight from one side I cannot see any light coming through so I believe I have an excellent seal. Overall the seal went on very easy and took about 30 minutes to install (I had to wash my truck first :). I would strongly recommend using the rubbing alcohol based cleaning pad that comes with the kit as I was surprised at the amount of dirt that came off even though I had just washed my truck. I guess time will tell how well the seal will stick to the surface........ it will be going through a cold Canadian prairie winter soon.
