My son wanted to run monster truck tires on his 2WD Slash, but the stock shocks couldn’t handle the extra weight from the larger tires and his other custom upgrades.These big-bore shocks solved the problem. They have stiffer springs and reservoirs that help keep the shock oil from leaking. Installation was simple and straightforward, taking only a few minutes to complete. After installing them, we noticed a clear boost in performance.They come pre-filled with shock oil and have adjustable collars to set the ride height. The kit includes two sets of springs, but both are pretty stiff. Thankfully, the shocks fit some springs we already had, so I was able to fine-tune the dampening for his setup.I used all the included hardware, and everything fit well. The screw heads are a little soft, though. If I had to remove them often, I’d switch to stronger ones to avoid stripping.The set also comes with spare O-rings, which is a nice bonus. Overall, this upgrade stopped the oil leaks and fixed the front-end bottoming caused by the added weight. We’re really pleased with how everything turned out.

If you’re looking to upgrade your Slash or crawler suspension without hemorrhaging cash, these alloy shocks are a solid foundation. Right out of the box, they have that reassuring look of strength—precision-machined, solid-feeling, nothing flimsy. They certainly **feel** like they’re ready to take a beating, but time will tell if they hold up under serious abuse or if we end up with banana-shaped shock shafts after some high-flying action.For around $35, it’s hard to argue with the value. That’s a lot of aluminum for the price, especially considering plastic stock Slash shocks somehow cost **more** than that. Of course, dialing in the right spring rate and shock oil is a must—you’re not just tossing these on and calling it good. But once tweaked to your setup, these have the potential to bring a noticeable upgrade without the premium price tag.A few more bashing sessions will really put their durability to the test, but so far, they check the boxes for a strong, affordable upgrade that won’t make you question your life choices at checkout.

These shocks fit my rc truck perfectly, the were super easy to install, the shocks look and feel very well made, most of the shock is metal or alloy with the exception of a couple plastic parts, the shocks have an easy to usetension ring for adjusting the stiffness of the spring, each shock also has a good size lube or oil canister, the shocks are delivered empty, so you'll need to add your own oil or lube, the shocks are also really durable, so far they have held up great, I also like how well the shock absorber the impacts when doing jumps, they also do a really good job at keeping my rc truck stable when driving over super rough terrain, all in all I am super happy with the overall quality and performance of these shocks, definitely a good value for the price in my opinion.

My Traxxas stampede gravedigger 2wd needed shocks cause the old ones still was on it that came with it so they was 13 years old so they was due to be replaced so when i saw these shown up for me it was perfect timing so i wanted to see how they are.They are really nice looking shocks i pick the green color cause they will match my stampede and they feel really solid feeling vs the stock shocks and they was easy to install and fit perfect ony thing i had to do is raise the back of the body up some cause the gravedigger body was slightly touching the top of the shocks and afterwards it was perfect and they look awesome on my stampede i really like them. Than they made the rc handle so much better and hits bumps much better and it also gave a bit more ground clearance probably because the ones that was on it was worn out and and another nice thing you can fill these up with your choice of shock oil so you can customize how they feel and also can change out the springs also which spare gold ones are included but i kept the springs that was on them already and i do not mind the color of them either cause they more so match my rc nicely.I fully recommend these shocks they look awesome they also has a great feel to them and they made my stampede handle much better and these will work with pretty much any 1/10 rc truck and i forsure will get more for my other rcs when they need shocks cause i do love these👍

These shocks perform well and install with the screws providedin under 10 minutes. The quality is very good, well machined and provided with spare seals. There us no silicone oil in the shocks and you have to put 1.5-2 cc in each to make better handling and stiffness in absorbing bumps. Once the oil is in the firmness of the ride changes the RC handling. Fit and finish provides a nice look to the RC build. I ordered red but recieved the fushia version, but they still accent the RC build favorable.

These are some really cool shocks! I will use for any of my 1/10 scale Rc cars from Traxxas or Arrma, I love making custom builds it’s so much fun and green is one of my favorite colors. These shocks provide the utmost professionalism and performance you will need to have a fun time bashing. The design with the dampeners is such a nice tough!. The material used is strong and comes with extra springs to adjust your level of stiffness. This also comes with extra hardware to make a very smooth and easy installation but that’s all based off your experience. They come with fluid already inside I’m not sure of the weight used but so far so good with no leaks. Will update if any issues. Will definitely recommend.

Super sharp set of shocks. Adjustable spring perch. Use your own oil to fill them up just don't overfill them so the reservoir can do its job. Nice looking too.
