I bought the remote control Robot for my grandson's Christmas present. Once he opened it and started playing with it he found that it will also dance and sing. I showed him that it can be controlled to an extent with just hand signals. He really enjoyed the Robot.

I ordered this a while back for my son to have on his birthday. I did a ton of research and this was the best reviewed under $100. It arrived really quickly, but when I opened it, I was upset to find that there were scuff marks and worn off coloring on the chest piece, knees and feet and broken and taped together packaging. I contacted the seller and he responded within a couple hours. He apologized, let me know he was new and that he was working with a manufacturing company who just sent them out. I was just looking to return it, but he immediately offered and shipped out a new one! Unfortunately, as great as the seller is, the new one came with the same defects, except that the packaging was in tact and not scotch taped together. I guess this is just a manufacturing defect, and I hope that it is improved. Now, I love that it has a charging port instead of batteries- it saves me money and prevents an upset 3-year-old. The programmed songs, facts, and dancing are cute- very loud, but cute. The one thing I didn't like, was that it taught my son to say, "This is lame." The facts and songs are great, but limited and they repeat themselves often due to few options. It says you can program is from your computer to say and do different things, but I haven't found that to be accurate.The controller is a bit wonky and doesn't work half of the time. My son who loves robots grew out of it pretty quickly- in less than a week he was done. Now he just uses it as he would any of his action figures. That is fine, just not what I had hoped for. But, for the price you can't expect too much, and what the product lacked, the seller made up for the difference. I guess I would just advise that 1)Manufacturing on aesthetics are poor, 2) Independent programming is nearly impossible, 3) the language chosen isn't necessarily the greatest. BUT the seller is great, the information that the robot does have is neat, and it works as a great giant opponent for Batman, The Hulk, And Captain America.

I bought this robot for my 5 year old grandson. We were all amazed at the things it does for the price. It's well designed, sturdy and a fun toy that doesn't get boring after 5 minutes of play. A few things I wasn't aware of about the toy are the science and good habits buttons on the remote (needs two AAA batteries) which have the robot tell the child facts about the solar system and good habits for life. When you turn the robot on he goes through a series of actions and if no one plays with him, after 30 seconds he says "Why is everyone ignoring me? This is lame." In 30 more seconds he says "system shutting down" or something on that order. I'd probably change the "lame" comment if I were programming the robot. I'm not sure if that's something that can be turned off in programming but it seems a little angsty and not something you really want to teach a 5 year old. The sensor that makes the robot go forward and backward with hand gestures works well and the robot responds pretty quickly. There is no plug for the USB charger for the robot, so if no one in the house has a USB power source, it might be a good idea to purchase one with the toy as well as 2 AAA batteries for the remote. It's a good deal and I would buy this again and probably will if the price doesn't keep on going up.

Very fun to watch the robot moving. My 1.5 years old baby watched it the whole time and started to push the buttons on the controller by herself.One star off because first the instruction manual is almost no use because of the poor English. Hi the manufacuturer can email me the Chinese original instruction and I can translate into English for you for free.Second the robot I received is used one. SOme yellow stains on the white plastic and one screw missing on the controller. I will see if I will exchange for a new one.Improvement suggestion, for the self programming, there is no music. Will be much more fun if there is music for the self programming movement.
