We have a pool that is 10 x 16 which should be about 5000 gallons when I did the research it says I need a heater of minimum 50,000 btu so I bought this one that is 105,000 btu and just fired it up today! It did a great job of bringing the pool from 80 to 86 within three hours. I watched it automatically shut off and then turn back on as needed to hold temperature. So far, very pleased.

We have a 15,000 gallon above ground pool, and this heater heats it up NO PROBLEM. First use, 62 degrees out, approximately 7:30 pm. Next day by 2:30 pm…89 degrees. Needless to say me and the kiddos were doing canon balls in no time lol.Right now a cold front is blowing through, it’s 49 outside…still 82 degrees. Shipping was actually flawless. Installation well that depends on how experienced you are. If you have no idea how to do this, hire someone. But if you know you’re capable you could get this done in a day, by yourself.

Stopped working after two uses. Raypak could not find anyone in my area to service it. They offered $200 for me to find my own repairman. The company who sells these on Amazon “WaterThat” said we couldn’t return it used. I would say the warranty is a joke. Buy a different brand from a pool store or company you trust in your area. Don’t buy this from this company on Amazon.

purchased unit in 2022 used it for 4 months.opened pool this year turned unit on and it leaked water.contacted Raypack for warranty and went through the policy procedure I had to contact a service company to inspect it and was told the heat exchanger was leaking and Raypack will not cover the repair because the water chemistry was not correct.and it damaged the unit.To start with I always mantain correct water chemistry and stored the unit in winter.this should not happen to something that was only used 4 months.I would expect this if I purchased a cheeper product. So I spent $1400.00 on this and now its scrap. This the first review I have ever wrote I felt like had to get this off my chest. This is the last major purchase I will make from Amazon.Buy local and get better customer service.

Use this for a small inground fiberglass pool. 2,200 gallons. Heats it to 88 or 90 in a few hours. Seems very efficient. Pool is on a timer so the heater only runs during a 10 hour cycle.I installed a manual bypass so I can drain the heater for summer (we're in SC). Eliminates potential for burning out the heater exchange. Also helped with reducing flow through the heater as my Haywood pump exceeds the maximum flow.

The gas heater worked well for a day and then stopped working. It would not heat up the pool. Rather than call for assistance, the fix was easy. When the wind blows, the heating fuse cuts out. Bought Raypak 005899F Thermal Cut-Off Fuse 106/156 Kit and replaced the fuse. Works wonderfully now and has not stopped producing heat for the swimming pool.

Didn't work from the day i got it.Had to pay a guy $79 to come out and look at it. Said i didn't have the gas turned on which i know is false cuz i aint that stupid yet. Then it rained for several days and turned cool and i turned the the pool back on and guess what? No friggin heat. Now the service guy might be out sometime on Monday as its fathers day weekend. Avoid this product at all costs.
