These are my dogs favorite treats. However, for power chewers like mine the 10in are gone in a day if I don't take them away. They LOVE them. They can get messy and slimey, but that is what they love about it! I prefer buying yak chews, they prefer these. I switch between the two.

Tried this product because someone recommended it to me. I was told they lasted longer than regular rawhide. While I agree they seem safe and better made, my 2yo 80lb pitbull destroys these even faster than some regular rawhide of the same size. And because it dissolves it made a mess and left residue all over his legs and face that really dried into his fur. It was hard to clean up and definitely not worth it for our puppers.

Our English Bulldog loves these bones. They are one of the few bones that last more than an hour. He will go through one in about 2-3 evenings as we watch tv. The biggest knock on them is the smell. Wow. We have to leave the windows open while he chews them.

We have a 3 year old golden retriever and these last him weeks (chewing for approx 1-2 hours a night). He seems to really enjoy them. As the owners we like that he can’t chew through a bone in a night, and it doesn’t leave residue on our carpet as traditional raw hides do. They also seem to be easy on his digestive system.

I am still trying to find a dog bone that will take my female shepherd more then one day to destroy...This bone has lasted the longest so far - she was done in about 6 hours which is way better - normally those big bones that I get at the grocery store last 40 minutes at best...she really enjoyed it - my male shepherd got through about half of his and gave up...he was tired so he made it to the 2nd day for the first time. I will be rebuying these...God bless!!!

My 7 month old l, four-legged-chew machine loves these bones. She has been chewing one for a couple days and has barely chewed off part of one of the nubs. This bone will be last a couple months versus other bones and bully sticks that last her less than a day. They have a slight odor at first but it quickly goes away. They do not break apart they eventually disintegrate as she choose them. She has been happily chewing him by herself, and sometimes allows us to hold it for her. :)

Should say the vet said rawhides of any kind aren't good for older dogs. My girl has never had one, she just turned ten but is incredibly healthy & playful, etc., people find it hard to believe she is that old. Anyway, she has been bored & I wanted something 4 her 2 be able 2 chew on 4 a long period or periods of time. Read about this, it seemed "safe, " she loved it & everything was going well until a short time later she suddenly had the worst diarrhea. It got so bad that she just wanted 2 stay outside, she was in & out so much. We took her to the Vet & he could see blood & mucus in her stool indicative of possibly an Infection in the lining of her stomach somewhere, possibly where she swallowed maybe even just a small sliver of the rawhide but it made even a small cut somewhere going down. He said that younger dogs can absorb these small cuts bc they heal quicker but older dogs can't bc they heal a little slower & it gets infected & you get this... It was the 1st & last time giving her a rawhide if any kind. Apparently, there are no safe rawhides especially when for older dogs. Just wanted to pass this info along bc I never knew this myself. And this "compressed" rawhide is as safe as a regular one. Me, my dog, & the big vet bill (she had to go back again for a second round of antibiotics and diarrhea medicine!) can attest to that!
