This crossbow is powerful, accurate and deadly. I have hit targets out to 80 yards no problem. It is expensive but you get what you pay for. It is extremely accurate even after sitting all offseason. I am considering another Ravin Crossbow after enjoying this one so much, the R20 with sniper package, to hit hogs out at 150 to 200 yards.

Great crossbow! Easy to sight in. Just one question to throw out there. What grain field tips came with the bow? I can’t buy broad heads until I figure out the field tips. Thanks in advance.

BUYER BEWARE! Ravin will not honor repair costs on defective crossbow.I purchased this crossbow as a Xmas gift to my dad. He is a hardcore hunter and wanted to try hunting with crossbow for a change. This year has been raining alot so once the weather calm down my dad took the crossbow to get it sighted and to target practice. The string on the crossbow snap/broke on the 5th arrow. Keep in mind, my father is not a newbie. He has been using other crossbow and knows how to use it.I contacted Ravin and they advise me to contact their dealer repaired shop in my area to have it looked at. Their dealer shop will inspect it, order parts, and fix it. And then will advise what will be covered under product's 5 year warranty.After the repairs were done, the dealer repair shop advised me I had to contact Amazon as the repairs were not covered. They stated they could only repair and could not determine why it broke. So basically, they didn't even try to figure it out. They only wanted to get paid for the repairs and didn't make any effort to inspect it for the defect. Was also told by the dealer shop that had I purchased it from them, they would have repaired it at no cost. Pretty much telling me I'm SOL for buying it at Amazon.Dealer stated since I bought it thru Amazon, it was Amazon that needed to cover my repair cost since I purchased it from them. Amazon, initially stated they would not cover the repairs but would allow me to return the crossbow for a full refund which was appreciated. However, I would be out of pocket $260 for the repair cost and Amazon would not pay for that.I again, contact Ravin by email. Provided invoice, pictures and reciepts. Advise them to reinburse me for the cost of the repairs as I follow their instructions. I still do want to keep the crossbow as it was a gift to my father. Instead my request was denied and they will only send me a box of arrows for my incovenience.So beware of buying such an expensive item from Amazon. My gripe is not with Amazon but with Ravin. This was brand new crossbow, never open, and kept in door until it was ready to be used. Ravin sold a defective item and refuse to cover for the repairs. Was given the run arounds. This was not a $12 item that I can simply throw away. Paid over $1300 after taxes so you can see how dissapointed I was with Ravin's customer service for selling a defective crossbow. Will never buy Ravin products again.

Mine came with a 418 fps tag - it’s a tack driver and it’s quiet - I had a mission before this - I like this crossbow much better

No dislikes at all, accuracy, Whoa. Took 6 bolts to sight in. Last 3 were grouped so tight it was hard to get out of the target bag. This crossbow is well worth the money.

The R10 is one hell of a tool for hunting. The sighting in process was easy thanks to the YouTube videos from Ravin. Have not gotten a chance to harvest anything yet however I still have time and just practicing with this has been fun. Not to mention how lightweight and easy to use it is.

I have shot compound bows for thirty years and due to torn shoulder I needed to use a crossbow this season. I researched what I should buy for weeks and all of that research paid off. This crossbow is accurate and has many features that make you feel that you have a high quality, well designed crossbow in your hands. The accuracy and quality is more than I could have expected.Once you have gone thru the directions on how to set up and sight this is a very accurate and easy crossbow to use. The only slight I have is that they could design an easier way to uncock the weapon it would be safer. You have to be careful uncocking this weapon. As long as you are focused it is no issue. A lapse in focus could cost you damage to the crossbow or your hand.Great product and I would suggest this to anyone who is interested in crossbows. Spend the money to get performance and accuracy.
