Picture are the difference between the 500mm and 300mm. I had to reorder the 300mm for this application because the 500mm was to long for my z axis on router table build but very strong product and comes with a nema 23 motor already attached to it.

UPDATE #2:I found a problem with the actuator. It's easily corrected, but Rattmotor should correct it. I'm down-grading my 5 star review to 4 stars. It's much easier to find problems when you photograph. The logo was rough looking. It's cut 4x by the cnc to get to depth, but the bit was hitting slightly off. I found that the block that the spindle attaches is easily flexed. There's a space behind it and the guide rod bearings allow movement.I used 2 pieces of 1 1/2" x 1/8" aluminum angle to correct the problem. The side of the block is pre-tapped for M4 screws (NOT M3). The drawing here on Amazon is WRONG.I cut the aluminum angle into 2 pieces, the size of the block, then drilled 3 holes corresponding to the tapped holes in the blocks. I used a piece of UMHW tape on the back of each angle. This ensures that the angle slides against the actuator with no friction. The red arrow points to one of the aluminum angles that I installed. With both angles in place, there's no way thwas spindle can't flex.I cut the word "Road" again. You can see how smooth it is now. There's no way the spindle can flex with the 2 pieces of angle installed.UPDATE:As a Luthier, I make custom inlay, not only for my guitars, but also for other luthiers. I also engrave, then fill the engraving, depending on the look I want on a fretboard. The hardest things to successfully cut are the letters, a,o,d,b. The capital R is less than 1/4" tall, with the other letters around 1/8". If there is runout, backlash, a vibration, or instability, of any kind, the centers of these letters will disintegrate while being milled. I usually engrave to 1mm deep. All of the round centers stated intact. I'll complete the work and post photos of the completed cnc.As ugly as it is, it proved the quality of the actuator. I also engraved the word at 1mm deep. This was proof of concept. If it can cut the tiny stuff this well, I don't worry about the big things.I built this cnc for my luthier business a couple of years ago. To cut fretboards and necks, I needed more length, so I've just finished upgrading the cnc to a working area of 12" x-axis x 24" y-axis x 8" z-axis. Rigidity is what makes or breaks a cnc. I used a 16mm ballscrew on the new y-axis and decided to do the same on the z-axis. Since both were 8mm lead screws, this was a massive upgrade.I just took delivery of the z-axis. I removed the stock nema 23 and installed my high torque, low current nema 23. I'll use the included nema 23 on my x-axis. I've pretty much over-built the cnc. I'd much rather err on the side of over- building than need to do this a third time. There's no flexion, or deviation. The axis is rock solid. I just got it installed and I made a quick test cut. All axis' need to be calibrated. New parameters need to be Programmed. You're seeing it in the "raw", so to speak. I need to reinstall my limit switches and store the wiring. I'll double check that it's installed straight and square.I saw no backlash. It's almost silent. It's much quieter than the lead screw. It's definitely a 5 star actuator. I've seen much worse straight out of the box, especially uncalibrated. I'll post more photos after I've calibrated and finished the rest of the things I've listed.

Too much side to side movement, compounded almost 2mm movement at tool head. I would like to mention that I was able to return this item without any issues. My biggest concern would be to update the listing with the actual specs so a buyer can make an informed decision. For many applications this would have worked well, using it for a Z axis it just was not able to have the tolerance needed.

Just picked this one because I needed it faster than my usual supplier could provide. I will definitely use all these actuators for next build. They are heavy duty and completely assembled and tested. Plug and Play.

Terrible amount of play in the slides. I was planning on using this as an axis on my CNC mill, however large amount of deflection makes it entirely unusable. Don't waste your time.
