Received my trap yesterday. I checked the trap the next day and it had already killed it's first rat. No mess at all. Nice and simple operation. Easy to load and clean. I highly recommend this trap. Next time I will submit a picture.

Tried a bunch of stuff. Had two significant problems. One, larger critters were triggering the trap to get at the bait-- raccoons and foxes. Two, had rats on the roof and the slant of the roof made the classic wood snap traps problematic, as they wouldn't stay in place and while there were things to prop against, they didn't work with the classic traps. These tunnel traps worked a champ though, solved both of those problems and both baiting and disposing of the critter is painless.I monitor the trap with a budget security camera and it was hard to tell if the trap had fired until I put a little piece of white duct tape on the arming lever-- now it shows up on camera just fine so I don't have to get out the ladder unless I know I've got something-- though so far, every night I put it out it's done the job. Sturdy plastic and a powerful snap, these traps are a great design.

I live in the country and we have fought rats for years. I have always used use the "slap traps" that are most of the time hard to set and sometimes catch your finger! I purchased these and have really been pleased. So easy to use and VERY effective! Also, no problem with it killing each and everyone. All you have to do is lift up the handle and they drop right out in the pasture. I'm buying two more.

Finally caught this rat which is about 6 inches (excluding tail) and got it good but there were many more times I went back and bait was gone but trap still wasn't engaged. I even caught one adult rat walking up to the trap and disabled it without entering, then running off. So it's an okay trap

I will save you from the imagery in my review of these rodent traps, as you can see the carnage in other reviews here.I will, however brag on these Tratper Rat and Chipmunk Traps!Easy to bait and easy to set. No mess and very safe for hands and pets. Using peanut butter in the internal bait cup is easy and very effective in drawing critters into the trap. Once in, it trips easily when the pest tries to dig the bait out of the little cup.Whether you are dealing with large and chipmunks or squirrels, or just run-of-the-mill house or field mice, these traps just work, and it is easy to see from a distance if the trap has been tripped! I had a large colony of packrats in my barn and using these traps eliminated 12 rats ~5"-7" long, not counting the tail, over a 2 week period. Also removed 5 or 6 regular mice.If you have rodent pests, these Tratper Rat and Chipmunk Traps are the bomb! GET SOME.

This is a great product. It is very easy to set and empty. The problem lies in catching mice with it. Mine caught a mouse just above its back legs, and the poor thing suffered until I emptied the trap and finished the job. That was awful.
