  • To the breakthrough Raspberry Pi Zero W, Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W is a form factor–compatible drop-in replacement for the original board.
  • The board incorporates a quad-core 64-bit Arm Cortex-A53 CPU, clocked at 1GHz.At its heart is a Raspberry Pi RP3A0 system-in-package (SiP), integrating a Broadcom BCM2710A1 die with 512MB of LPDDR2 SDRAM. The upgraded processor provides Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W with 40% more single-threaded performance, and five times more multi-threaded performance, than the original single-core Raspberry Pi Zero.
  • Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W offers 2.4GHz 802.11 b/g/n wireless LAN and Bluetooth 4.2, along with support for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and modular compliance certification. The board has a microSD card slot, a CSI-2 camera connector, a USB On-The-Go (OTG) port, and an unpopulated footprint for a HAT-compatible 40-pin GPIO header. It is powered via a micro USB socket. Video output is via a mini HDMI port; composite video output can easily be made available via test points if needed.
  • Sharing the same form factor as the original Raspberry Pi Zero, Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W fits inside most existing Raspberry Pi Zero cases.

I've been using this months now. Along with my TYT MD-380 Digital Mobile Radio, it allows me to talk to stations all over the world. I've been a licensed Amateur Radio Operator since 1986. I've been an Extra Class for 10 years now. My living situation prohibits me from having outside antennas. Thus, I cannot jump on the HF bands to make contact. With this hotspot, I no longer have to tie up the local repeater to make world-wide contacts. My hotspot is tied into the Brandmeister Network, and I frequent talkgroup 91 World Wide. I most recently made contact with Sidney ZS5SID in South Africa. Now it's all together and hooked to my network, I can kick back and enjoy its rewards.

Nice for portable, low power usage projects. I'm using mine as a portable router station/AP running openwrt.

I took a bit of work following an online guide and buying a decent case and power cord, but this is now our wireless print server for 2009 Xerox Phaser 6280 color printer (which supports USB and Ethernet, but that's it...). BTW, I don't know if they still make printers that last as long as this one has...

Using this as a octoprint server. Installed Octopi via the rasberrypi install tool. Worked great. The included USB hub handles the printer, a 1920x1080 20 fps camera, and I added a USB NIC for better streaming capabilities. So far it runs great. Just be sure to get a good microSD card that can handle deaccent speeds and you'll be golden.I threw it in a cooling enclosure and the cost of it, the PI, and a SD card ran me less than $50 total for everything. Now it doesn't specifically mention this but it does have built in WiFi. It was not so great for me, hence the USB NIC addition.UPDATE. If you plan on using Linear Advance do not get this. It just does not have the I/O's on the USB bus to handle it. So you will end up with bad prints, blobs and layer shifts. Using the exact same gcode on my NAS it prints flawlessly. Yes both Octoprint printer settings were identical. So running standard marlin or klipper firmware should be ok, but marlin with LA is a nogo...

TL:DR Great for headless or head set up. Works well with pwn projects, game consoles, “good” usb.I bought 2 boards, the setup isn’t the easiest this is on the software side, the boards themselves are very solid hardware.Strong pi solder for setting/removing screens while developing code for them on the pi zero connecting via VNC.If you are looking for a pwn project, moving up from a pico/esp, or python on the code I can’t recommend this enough. You will need a high quality micro ssd, but only 32 gb max really. Great buy, 10/10.

This Pi Zero 2W replaces an earlier Pi Zero W that was struggling to handle the load. It was running hot and although it functioned perfectly 24/7/365 for seven years (and still does), I could tell that software updates were making it work harder than I wanted it to. It’s now on lighter duty and the 2W is handling the bigger job perfectly. I saw no assembly problems such as cold solder joints or poorly aligned parts. It booted up perfectly and is error-free several weeks later.

I recently ordered this raspberry pi zero 2 W for my 3D printer to get klipper, and it's been nothing but cooperative and helpful. It works exactly like any other pi available on Amazon, but it's so much cheaper! I was able to purchase this and another add on kit to completely set up my pi for klipper, all for just 30 dollars, and all the other ones are 40 and up. It was a breeze to set up and connect to my wifi, and hasn't given me any issues. I'd definitely recommend purchasing this, along with a heat sink kit to fully utilize your budget.

Works great and easy to set up. I wish I got one with RJ45 for hard wire.
