This Rapid Classic 1 Plier Stapler is one of the best office products that I have ever purchased. It really does staple 50 sheets of 20lb paper. And, it does so effortlessly and reliable. Pair this stapler with 5/16" Rapid branded staples for best results. Well constructed and durable.

I bought this for use in stapling drawing packages that are often up in the 50-sheet range. The average office stapler cannot compete with this Rapid Classic 1. I use it with their 5/16" staples. They are rated for 50 sheets and they certainly punch through that many without crumpling at all. But my guess is that half of this performance is related to a well-defined chute within the stapler that prevents the staples from buckling. And of course this style of stapler is easier on the hand during use. Probably the best stapler I have ever had.

I used this to staple some upholstery "fluff" to encase some thinning couch cushions. This thing was a pleasure to use. Extremely well made, looks real nice, fits your hand very well, and does what it's supposed to do. It never jammed, never misfired or incorrectly applied a staple. Took me 57 years to find one of these that works. I plan on having it buried with me. ;)

I will start by explaining that the annoying feature is that it will not hold a full stick of 210 "Standard" staples. Maybe Swedish staples come in shorter sticks. Anyway, to load staples in this otherwise excellent tool, you have to break a standard stick in two and put one of the short pieces in the tool. That means you have to reload it twice as often as a stapler that holds a full stick. I have several desk staplers that also use the Standard staples. I like having several tools that all use the same staples.Otherwise, this is a wonderful tool, made in Sweden, and just as good quality as my Arrow P-22 plier stapler. The Arrow I have was made in USA, but a new P-22 is more expensive than the Swedish Rapid Classic and the Arrow uses a non-standard P-22 staple. On the other hand, the Arrow does hold a full stick of staples and can use either 1/4" or 5/16" length staples.

Great stapler! Much better than the swingline pos that I previously owned. It has since been fired to the garbage can with brute force! This stapler is much more sturdy. Great for upholstery jobs

Its heavy and feels like it may need some strength. BUT it doesn't. Its really easy to staple 25 sheets. Haven't tried anything larger just yet but we use it for everyday things and love it. The build looks and feels very solid and I expect it will last a lifetime.

I got this as a gift for my wife, and loaded it and tried it out before wrapping it. The only reason I don't give it five stars is that it wouldn't accept a full strip of staples. Swingline brand standard sharp point staples were just a hair too tight to slide in freely. The Dollar Tree version of "standard staples" that we happened to have, however, were a perfect fit. Otherwise it loaded easily, worked smoothly, didn't require much gripping force to operate. My wife, who doesn't have big, strong meathooks like mine reports that she has no trouble operating it either. Too early to give a valid report on its long-term reliability, but I've been using tools my entire adult life, and my distinct impression at this point is that this stapler will perform well for decades. There's nothing cheap or flimsy or sloppy or second-rate about the materials and construction.

We own a very popular and busy carry out and delivery Chinese restaurant. We bag all of our food and staple the paper bags closed for obvious reasons. We go through a box of 5000 staples per week. This stapler is rugged and easy to handle. I don't worry every time I drop it on the floor, which can be a few times a night when we're very, very busy. We originally bought the Rapid Classic from Office Depot but I guess it wasn't fashionable enough for them as they no longer carry it. I haven't had to buy a new one for a while though as they are so sturdy. Looked around but couldn't find it anywhere else either. Bought a few of the plastic staplers but they are a joke when doing high volume. Finally it clicked that Amazon might have it, they seem to have everything else known to man. The price is good but the shipping is outrageous because of the weight. I bought 5 so I wouldn't be caught in a bind if they decide to stop making this baby for good. Great investment for us!
