The Rapesco Porpoise is a traditional all-metal stapling plier that is ideal for packaging tasks involving jiffy bags, cartons, and tubes. With a rear spring-loading mechanism and comfortable ergonomic grip, this product has been designed to make light work of high-volume, heavy-duty stapling tasks. With a throat depth of 2.32", this stapling plier uses type 24 High-Capacity 1/4" and 5/16" or type 26 Standard 1/4" and 5/16" staples. Capable of stapling up to 45 sheets of paper at a time; for optimal results use Rapesco 1/4" staples for up to 20 sheets and 5/16" staples for up to 45 sheets. Comes with a 15-year guarantee.

I purchase a lot of animal feed in 40 and 50 pound bags. The bags are tough and great for debris that would tear through other bags. But unlike regular trash bags they are difficult to keep closed when filled. That's why I gave the Rapesco 1298A Porpoise Classic Stapling Plier a try after trying to use my desk stapler. The Rapesco is amazing, stapling those bags like nothing else and hand strength is simply not a requirement. It is so smooth and easy to use single handedly. Quite impressive.

fits well in the hand, very smooth operation, and staples thru 5 thicknesses of heavy pleather/vinyl with ease! bought for temp hold for sewing auto upholstery and does great job so far! the 1/2" staple description is width not leg length! was using 5/16" leg and did very well stapling the above mentioned vinyl. would highly recommend this for people doing the same kind of things.

I needed an economic stapler to close the throat of leaf bags from my yard. This seems to be a quality product that can justifiably claim to be heavy duty.
