Heavily built...This is the 2nd time I've done this on this tractor. Still no fun. The key is having enough of the proper wrenches under there to save trips to the bloody tool box.

The fit was perfect, much tighter than the factory gears. Most wear was in the bushing and not on the gears so I suspect these will last the life of the mower. Still may be a good idea to order a spare pinion and bushing since it's easy to change out. Rack is slightly thicker that the original and may extend it's life. Pinion gear was exactly the same as factory part. I'll give it a hearty "recommend ". Be sure and grease the steering shaft and bushing since there is no way to do it once it's all assembled.
