I use a protective mask because of the fumes even with an open window and fans blowing so I wouldn't use a straw. I practiced on some scrap pieces and was able to learn how to use this tool and created the above work with this and it won an award at our local art show

I was hoping that this blower would work better than just blowing through a large straw (like a Yeti drink straw), but I didn't. The blower didn't seem to be that powerful. I wanted to use it to blow out petals on an alcohol ink flower, but the straw worked better.
