Easy install and vast improvement over the original shocks

The hardware that came with shocks isn’t the correct hardware causing damage the threads during install. The shock shaft measures 1/2”-20 and the nuts that shipped with both shocks I purchased were M12-1.75.2nd update - Had to repair the threads and purchase correct thread pitch nuts at the local hardware store. Within 50 miles the drivers side of the truck developed a “clunk” noise. Upon retuning home it was discovered that the lower shock bushing had failed and was now hitting metal on metal. Removed shock and re-installed old shock so I could go to work in the morning. Drove most of the week on the mixed shocks and on Thursday evening when coming home from work the passenger front of the truck developed a “clunk”. Upon inspection it was discovered the lower shock bushing had also failed and was hitting metal on metal. Inspected the front end of the truck and cannot find any mechanical issues and the old shocks had been on the truck since I purchased it. I thought I would give these Ranchos a try based upon research but I should have stuck with my go to of Bilstein shocks.

I replaced these shocks before my 12 hour trip to my summer vacation. These are the worst shocks I have ever used. Down right dangerous how soft and bouncy they are. Uncomfortable and uncontrollable. 2017 ram 2500 diesel 4x4

Shocks seemed fine at first. Within 6 months 1 shock blew and leaked all the fluid out. Don’t waste your money. Rancho shocks used to be good quality. Now I think they use the cheapest materials to make them with but still charge a premium price. Nothing like taking people’s hard earned money and giving them garbage products. Never again will I buy Rancho products.
