Great product but slightly dumb struck that they only send one shock boot...

Feels like high quality rubber. Pics for those who’d like to know the opening sizes.. also fully compressed the bellows are 2”. Should have a long life protecting my steering damper.

I used a pair of these covers on my 2018 Suzuki 650 V-Strom as recommended by the Stromtrooper fourm. They've been on my motorcycle for the past 24,000 km and survived heat, cold, rain, snow. Really glad I got these.

Bought these for my 2008 DL650 Motorcycle to protect the fork seals. They've held up really well and do their job.

Was looking for a week to find fork boots for my Gen 1 Vmax 1200. I have the later year 43 mm fork tubes and these fit with a bit of silicone lube. Like the other reviewers, I cut off the bottom slotted section to fit into the 7.75 inch vertical space. The lower part rests in the groove of the fork seal but is not tight so no need to vent them with my application. They look factory and were super inexpensive compared to the "motorcycle accessory" sets on auction sites.

A very adaptable product. The rubber material is of high quality and will give lasting performance. These Shock Boots can be custom cut to fit according to your needs. I put them on the front forks of my 1985 Honda VF700C Magna, which was not designed for shock boots. These shock boots can be cut and then put back together with super glue!

I used these to fabricate cheapy fork boots on my 2004 harley xl. cut down one side, slipped em on, super glued them and zip tied the top and bottom and hid the tie in the "wrinkle" works awsome put over 9k miles on the bike since then and no signs of wear or even fading (and they are out int he sun 24/7) I'd say Ive used/abused them much worse then the shock application they are made for and they held up great.

This is a great quality shock boot. A soft rubber compound, not a stiff plastic. It's fairly generic for sizing, the lower will zip-tie over 2-3" diameter shock body easily. Length is about 12" extended, maybe 4" compressed. Excellent value for $4.I put these on my 2005 BMW F650CS, I used a ziptie at the top and the bottom. I also put a few air vent holes on the back of each boot. It works great!

I use to use these all the time in the Motorcycle biz for fork boots. Now the company has ruined them for that by slitting the bottoms. I cannot understand the logic behind this...a once great product is now a piece of crap.

These Rancho shock/fork boots are well made, and have GOT to be the DEAL of the century!I actually bought 4 of these for use on my 1982 Suzuki GS850GL Motorcycle. The first set i split with sissors along one of the mold seams to keep my cut straight, and used a tightened zip tie at top and bottom of my front fork tubes. The middle sections i added 3 looser fitted zip ties to close the seam up a bit, but not so tight as to impair the fork action. The split seam was positioned facing the motorcycle driver, to keep the road grime out. This allowed me to get some good fork protection agaist stones and bugs that can ruin the fork seals without having to completely disassemble the fork tubes. The 2nd set of boots i'll reserve for when i actually have to disassemble the forks for a seal change at some point. The cost of these is SO reasonable you won't mind cutting up a pair to get some immediate protection on your motorcycle fork tubes.....Nice!cheers,Joe T

I bought these to go on the Pro Comp shocks I bought here on Amazon. They went on with no issues. I zip tied them up and bam. Shocks protected. Fairly inexpensive and seem pretty rugged, Not real cheap or thin rubber. I expect they will last the life of my shocks (or I hope :)

This is not an expensive item but it can help out with many applications. Whether as a replacement part for truck or auto suspension or steering systems or as an add on item for unprotected motorcycle front forks, these boots do the job. Unlike some other manufacturter's stiff vinyl/plastic units, these Rancho units are well-made out of a flexible, almost rubber-like material. The mold seams are aligned and almost unnoticeable. As is typical, they come with ny-tie fasteners for lashing the ends to your application. This is a good product at a good price.
