Use this product for my shower glass and it works great. It keeps soap and hard water deposits from adhering to the glass, and is easy to clean.

Mix reaction. It does repel water after proper application. Though I'm not sure but I think it causes more waterspots that is harder to remove when dried.

I have used this product for many years it works beyond believe. I consider it a wax for your windshield. It goes on easy and wipes off with very little effort. It works so well you really don't need to use your wipers at all. I am still amazed after many years of use how well the rain beads up when going down the road. I do know for a fact that if you use your wipers after you apply, it will reduce the time that it works. I would recommend this product to anybody that is looking to improve your vision in wet weather.

The product works, and works well. But you have to re-apply it every couple of weeks to keep it at top performance. The re-application probably varies on weather. But here in Jersey - it's been crappy, so re-applications have been frequent. It takes a lot of elbow grease to apply and not leave smearing. It's not a lot needed - just a pain. If they had an easier to apply applicator (say a squeegee type applicator, that didn't need so much TLC, i'd give this stuff a 5 star.

I have been buying Rain X at local parts stores for about ten years. The 7 oz. size price seemed good and I was ordering other items so bought it. Rain X is a product that does exactly what it is supposed to do, wisk water off your car windsheild.Easy to apply and lasts a reasonable time between car washes. To extend product life I also use Rain X windsheild washer.

Summary: Excellent - does what it claims, but there is a much easier option - Rain-X washer fluid!I've been a fan of Rain-X for over 20 years, but one thing I have always found inconvenient is the application. For best results you really need to apply to clean glass and then wipe on / buff off, much like car wax.The problem is, I'm typically too busy to wash my car, much less wax or apply Rain-X. I recently discovered Rain-X Windshield washer fluid. When I bought it I simply thought it was just Rain-X branded and didn't have any other properties, but a few days later I noticed the water beading off while I was driving. Note that I had only used 1/3 of the bottle to top off a reservoir which was already full of the regular blue stuff!!!Clearly you don't need to use this full strength to get the benefits. From what I can tell it beads up as well as what you rub on and buff off - perhaps a week after you apply it. I'd say you get 80% of the benefit with none of the hard work to apply it - I'm adding washer fluid already, so it makes no difference if it's blue or orange.
