Have tried many different sprays that are natural or safe around kids and pets. While most work just fine to kill ants, this is the only one that keeps them away. Every single other one I have tried, ants are back within minutes. This spray keeps them away for good.

I bought this because I have cats and the bugs I wanted to kill were primarily around their litter boxes. I didn't want to risk poisoning them every time I did some pest control. Let me start by saying that it does actually work, but not like normal RAID. The larger the bug the longer it takes to actually kill them outright. It does make them relatively immobile though, so a good old fashioned boot does the trick to finish them off quicker. On a different note, you may also want to consider not using this if you are sensitive to perfumes or strong scents. This stuff is fairly potent and lingers for several days. They also note that some surfaces will become incredibly slick after spraying and they aren't lying. Tile in particular becomes almost greased.

Got this to spray an ant trail and they all died on contact. It scares the ants from wanting to have more trails in the area. Was able to get the little guys away from my door and out of my house with the spray. Dogs don't seem to be affected by it.

My husband is always nervous about bug sprays, plus I have a cat, but we would occasionally get a little trail of ants exploring our apartment during the summer, and I picked up this stuff to try out. Thankfully I had some on hand because at the start of July, we suddenly had several MASSIVE infestations; I woke up one morning to a swarm of hundreds on my cat’s food dish, and we clearly hadn’t dealt with it thoroughly enough because the next morning, our pantry (right next to her food) was infested. However, this stuff works great on ants. Spray it on them and it kills them right away. spray it around where they get in, and it deters them, and may possibly kill them there too.And while of course it’s still poison and still needs to be used with caution/cleaned up appropriately, it doesn’t smell or feel as harsh as standard bug spray. It works on house spiders too, but even though it says it works on roaches, I honestly don’t think that much outside of an atomic bomb works on roaches. Ants though? This is what you want.

This is a update from last summer when we had so many roaches I even paid pest company where you have to empty all your cabinets out and still have roaches. It's been a year roach free and loving it and this summer I haven't expect for those big ugly water bugs. I never in my life though I would be roach free. We used a few different kinds of spray that must of just came out. The best ones to use is the oily kind that has lemon grass in it. It's messy but it's worth it it does work. But you have to go to war with the roaches. We stayed it everywhere our kitchen was a oily mess then we saw more and more dead roaches to finally we saw none and for the first time they stayed gone at first every 2 weeks I would spray not only inside but it's important to spray the outside of your house. Then it went to every 2 months now it's once a year. But this isn't the only spray we used we used steam anything that has lemongrass in it works excellent and it has to be the oily kind. And soon you to will be roach free

I live in the south. We have more hot months than cold, and therefore, more months of insect activity. I know deep down, that insects serve a purpose and some are actually essential to some facets of nature. However, I find most of them loathsome and quite terrifying. I can't stop my skin from crawling up my back when I see a bee or a roach.I have tried so many "home-defense" products that I just sprayed and sprayed and sprayed before anything died. I've tried the mixtures so deadly you have to wear gloves when mixing - I've tried other things you spray, things you hang, things you place in corners and drawers - just to stop having to see the nightmare inducing, segmented and horrifying bodies of insects.I bought Raid Essentials Ant Spider and Roach Killer mainly because it doesn't harm animals. I have two rabbits and one cat that are loved dearly, so this seemed a good choice.I had NO IDEA how awesome it would be. My house is very old and has a few cracks and crevices (that's a separate product review all together!). It started when a few big bees had somehow gotten through one of those cracks. Bees down south can be so big that their "buzzing" can actually be felt in your bones like a vibration. I was so scared, but I picked up the can and confronted the source. One little spritz and it was knocked out of the sky and down DEAD. It worked so fast and so totally, that I immediately bought two more cans so I could leave them in strategic places around my home. The next test was when a huge water bug came slouching out from under my frig. In case you don't know it, "water bug" is a euphemism for GIANT ROACH. Anyone who has dealt with them knows that they are FAST when threatened. I sprayed it, thinking I would need half the can to kill it, and would definitely have to chase it, but no! It literally froze in death mid-step. I soon discovered that ANYTHING else that even walked over where the Raid was sprayed died instantly. I find carcasses of little unlucky bugs around my ac unit frequently.I wish they sold this variant of Raid by the gallon so you could strap it on your back and just soak everything in front of you.The only two drawbacks? The scent isn't the best, and it's oily. If it gets on your floor, falling is inevitable if you don't get it up (I use a bleach mix to cut the oil). I've smelled worse, and cleaning it up is easy, so no big deal. To me, this stuff is worth every single penny. I'll never buy anything else.Quite simply, my message is: Hate scary bugs? Buy this.
