I did not like the look, it is stiff didn't like that. I made those paper baskets with it and if didn't have the right look.i would not use it for basket weaving it might work for ties or some type of craft work.

Used rafia for years at my store--use it with colored ribbon to tie the handles. Have not used it to wrap a package. I prefer the natural kind but this one's cheaper.

Used this to wrap gifts, because it’s recyclable. But it looked really nice as well. Good value, there’s a LOT on this roll. Nice, neutral color, goes well with natural paper.

I've been moving away from plastic and other ribbon. This raffia is so very nice and biodegradable. This dark green is beautiful for multiple seasons. I would purchase again - reasonable pricing. TIP: Always pull raffia from the center! Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. I like the color and quality of this raffia. It is a lighter color then the others I have purchased so it gives me a different look. It comes with quite a bit in a roll and it doesn’t Frey easily. It is easy to work with and looks great for my Bohemian decor.

I used it as the foundation to tie all of the other ribbons on. It is good quality and value. I buy again, I have a lot left and will find projects to use it on. Shipping and packaging were good. Don't hesitate to purchase if you need raffia ribbon.

Worked just as expected for a raffia tie. I made simple bows with them around the necks of some mason jars. Simple, but classier than curling ribbon.
