Worked well for my Yaesu FT2800. The coil is of a larger diameter than the original, and is also a little stiffer than the original. Installed easily with no issues.

The earlier Yaesu vhf/uhf radios had microphones with cords that seemingly split easily as they aged. I used this tp repair the mic on a Yaesu FT-2800 and it worked fine.

I opened the Mike of my Yaesu, unplugged the old wire, plugged in the new wire and was testing in about 60 seconds. Works great!
