Tornado Hooks are AWESOME! They are the strongest hooks like this on the market, that I am aware of. Besides being incredibly strong and sturdy, they are clean and attractive as well.HOWEVER - BUY FROM A DIFFERENT SELLER.The hooks I got are genuine Tornado hooks, but they were very obviously used, and they did not come with the correct Tornado mounting screws. The seller included generic drywall anchors that are inadequate, and won’t even work for these hooks. The tornado hook is supposed to come with their proprietary tornado screws. These USED hooks came wrapped in plastic with a couple of crappy drywall anchors in an envelope. Very angry and disappointed.

Works perfectly for storing my extension ladder. The included hardware might work in drywall but completely wrong for mounting to a wood beam. I recommend using “Headlok” fasteners. The flat head fits into the recessed portion of the bracket nicely without needing any additional washers and did not require predrilling. Made the brackets super simple to install and very sturdy.

These hooks are the greatest. I have a small garage and don't like clutter on the floor. So I try to hang things. I already have some of these hooks holding up my leaf blower, luggage pieces, holiday door decorations, etc. What is truly wonderful is that they are incredibly easy to install. Just get a screwdriver (an electric one works best but any screwdriver will do) and screw the screws in and hang your hangings. I use them on a drywall; on the stud it might not be so easy. But on a drywall you can hang 40 pounds which works for all my things. I am not handy-manly inclined; just a woman with a home, a garage and things to hang. So I like things that are easy, don't take much mind-beinding, and work. I first bought these at Lowe's and figured that if I ran into a problem I'd return them. Didn't have a problem; went back and bought more. Now I bought a set at Amazon. Can't get much easier. Later review - just bought another set-one to hold my yoga mat in its sheath and the other to hold some garden tools.

Redoing my garage i bought these to get my new extension ladder up on wall. This item arrived and game with all hardware to mount. Installed in about 15 minutes and is snug against wall. My ladder hangs well and hooks arent showing any signs of potential failure.Solid item

These are very easy to install and hold quite well in Drywall. If fastened only into the drywall, they will work loose if items are constantly being secured and detached. For seasonal items they work very well. And they are easy to remove and relocate. Ideally they should be secured into the studs as well. Do not exceed the weight limits. I use these to hang snow shoes, ladder, hoses, bicycle tires and storing roof racks in the winter

very strong ladder hooks (2 hooks per pack), just the right depth to hang one ladder. While the local big box stores carried ladder hangers, they were about 12 inches deep and stuck out too far from the wall to walk past. For people with more room and more than one ladder to hang, the deeper hooks might work ok although you will always have to take down the outside ladder when trying to get down the inside ladder. These ladder hooks come with wall board anchors and screws, but I used longer screws and mounted them directly into the studs for greater stability. Great product that I would highly recommend.

We hung a 21 foot Little Giant Skyscraper on these hooks. They have no issues with the weight of the ladder. The hooks themselves are decent quality -- rubber-coated hooks with a metallic-ish (I'd guess aluminum or another pot metal) mounting bracket. My only beef is with the mounting hardware. They ship with a hybrid drywall/wood screw thing. It's probably adequate, but I ended up using a few 3" wood screws rather than the hardware that shipped with the kit to anchor the hooks. Most equipment like this will ship with a drywall anchor and a screw that goes into the anchor; I'd like to see that done with this product as well.As a plus (maybe?), the orange hooks does match the Little Giant orange. So if you're worried about color-coordinating your ladder hardware, you've got that going for you.Edited April 2016: I bought another set of these to hang another Little Giant Ladder. As always, bring another solid lag screw or otherwise sturdy piece of mounting kit and you'll be fine; the self-tapping screws supplied with the solution are honestly not that great. I attached some photos of these installed and a ladder hanging on them. Note that the top-most screw is a significantly more solid hex lag screw, driven with a 3/8" socket wrench.I now have two Little Giant Ladders, including one of their 'Skyscraper' 24-foot models, hanging on these. No complaints other than the lower-than-it-should be quality of the moutning screws.

Read the other reviews first and so used my own nails instead of theirs. Went to Lowes and they showed me the anchors and screws I could use and recommended two sets of washers. The washers are b/c the screws don't fit perfectly into the very large holes of the hook. I marked the holes, drilled holes, put in the anchors, then screwed in the screws with the washers. Holds up wonderfully and not that painful to install for even a novice

I bought a pair of these ladder hooks to hang a 24' extension ladder. I was attaching the hooks directly to 2x4 studs in my garage, pre-drilled with the proper bit per the directions and 2 of the 6 screws snapped off at the head before they were fully driven-in. The hooks themselves are great: they feel strong, have a rubberized coating which should prevent damage and slipping, and they're deep enough to hold the ladder. But the fasteners are junk. If I'm ever presented with the need to move the hooks, I'll buy different fasteners (maybe pan-head lag screws by Spax).
