Product Description

130lb 3

The TP1822 adjustable sliding rail kit for rackmount computers and chassis will accommodate rack-mountable appliances for server cabinets.

This rail kit is designed for mounting larger, heavier equipment, such as servers or hard disk arrays to a server rack.

The rails are built from quality materials and are capable of holding weight up to 130 pounds. Ball bearing offer smoother movement, reduce wear and tear to the rail and are quieter.

The 2U to 8U compatible server rack rails come with universal assembly holes. The product contains the rails along with all necessary hardware needed for setup.

Compatible with most standard size cabinets and racks, two-post or four-post, 26” to 40” deep. Sliding rails allow you to fully extend your server out of the rack for convenient access, without having to remove it from the rack.

No additional assembly is needed, rails can be attached to your rack using screws provided in the package.

Mounting is a bit tricky, but this worked well with a 2U rackchoice chassis; though, I did need to source some of my own screws for this chassis that isn't officially supported.

Every decision made during the design of this product inflicts maximum pain. There are 6 different types of screws, 3 types of washers, 2 types of nuts, and no instructions on what to use where.Trying to mount the brackets took an hour and 2 people (normally, it takes 1 person 30 seconds). If I were as cruel as the designers of this product...

cheap material at a cost. Definitely going to buy startech or rosewill next time.

The rails work, they are an absolute nightmare to install. The directions are useless and filled with spilling mistakes. And the clearances are nano meters close.

The instructions are unclear, but you must secure the rails on the inside of the supports at the front and back of your rack, otherwise a standard width server will not slide into place correctly.I've made my review 3 stars, because the manufacturer could put forth a very small amount of effort to update the instructions to make everyone's lives easier. There are several reviewers that I believe installed the rails incorrectly causing them to think they were defective. I will take photos and update my review showing what must be done.

The first unit I received was defective. One of the rails did not have slots cut out in it to install the outer L-bracket. Poor QC. I returned this back. The replacement set of rails looked OK visually. After spending about an hour putting it together (it has poor installation instructions), my server chassis wouldn't slide into the rack on the rails. The inner rail hits the chassis while sliding in (see pictures). The width of the rails is too short for a standard 19" server chassis. My Rosewill RSV-L4000U 4U server chassis was 16 7/8" wide. The rails can only accommodate up to 16 3/4" wide chassis. That's a 1/8" too small! I thought these rails were supposed to be universal? Of course I only found about this issue at the very end, so I had to then spend another hour taking everything apart to return it back.Oh, also the rails are covered in slimy grease. The stuff is nasty, smells bad, and hard to wash off your hands. Wear gloves!

I have a few old rack chassis and I was unable to get ahold of the OEM rail kits for them so I found these here on Amazon. Not only do they fit, but the mounting hardware is better than the kits made for the chassis that I already had and at a lowest cost.I'd definitely recommend these rails as a simple, inexpensive, highly compatible kit. Thanks!
