Essential if you use your compressor a lot or live where its humid. Easier to drain the tank, dont have to bend down and reach far under the tank anymore. Use it daily,very happy.

Now the drain is easy to reach! It is GREAT not to have to crunch down on my knees to do a regular drain of the compresser tank, and (BONUS) you will do this MORE OFTEN because it requires so little effort.And here's a TIP: Put a small neodymium magnet on the side of your tank to keep the end of this hose even easier to reach; the terminal end of this hose just magnetic enough to keep it snug.

This is not ready to use, must check all fittings and reapply thread tape. Fittings were loose, causing leak. Tightened but still leaks. Scraped the pre applied red sealant, and applied the black FASTape teflon, still leaks. Will update when i fix the leak.Update: Fixed the leaks. Had to tighten the inner sleeve on the ball valve. Replaced all the pre apllied red thread sealant with black FASTape. Added a star. Good now.

made a small bracket to fit the tap to compressor leg, now no more bending down trying to find the drain valve.

My upright shop air compressor had the old style tee spinner drain. It was very hard to reach and like most of those, they tend to cease working. Installed this unit in about 10 minutes, and now the new drain valve works flawlessly and is easily reached. No more cussing!Seems good quality for the money. I'm happy!

A perfect kit. My problem was that I didn't take into account the length of the fittings so was unable to use it.The quality of the stainless braid was excellent (wonder who supplies that exact quality hose as I would love to buy just the hose by itself, better than hoses I've purchased elsewhere).All the fittings have the high-pressure sealant already on them, but for extra security they throw in a roll of teflon tape too.Recommended, just make sure you factor in the fitting lengths too, 10 inches isn't 10 inches once you go fitting plus hose plus fitting, my bad in my case, but just a headsup.

I bought this for my new Kobalt compressor as the drain is a little hard to get to and I know it should be drained on a regular basis. Glad I did, because when I drained the tank to install this valve, an unnerving amount of water came out. That won’t happen again.This kit comes with everything you’ll need except for a wrench. Even though the threads are coated with what appears to be some leak preventative substance, they include an entire roll of PTFE tape for the threads. I figured they might include a few inches to do this job, but the included roll is larger than several others I already had around the garage. Very nice.They also include an adapter so this can be installed in the next size up drain hole. I didn’t need it, but it’s there.The drain valve itself is much easier to actuate than the original Kobalt valve and the hose is long enough to reach a few inches beyond the wheel axle on the compressor. Very easy to reach.One star off for imported.
