It works ok but takes time to learn how to use. Not sure if my rotary cutter is too big but tricky getting in slot. I will use the smaller blade cutter next time.

I was disappointed with the product because of the size. When my fabric is folded in 4 layers the ruler is not tall enough to cut it in one stroke. The thickness of the ruler made it hard for my cutter to penetrate the 4 layers.

this is perfect for my book binding. My end papers, leathers, and bookcloths are perfectly sized thanks to the slats and see through measurements. Handy for any type of fabric art. A must have for any crafter.

While quilting is something that I may start one day, I have loved using this "quilting" ruler for my straight edged cutting needs. I have sewn for years, and recently picked up the craft again after several years of not doing it all. What I have found in that time is that more seamstresses are using squares/boards to cut their materials rather than scissors. Once I started cutting fabric that way, too, it didn't take me long to see the advantage in that method.This ruler makes rotary cutting a breeze with 1/2" slits spaced across the entire board. I can put my rotary cutter in one end easily and cut as far as I need. I like that I can lay down one large piece of fabric, then cut out most of what I need at once without needing to move the board around. The board itself is quite sturdy and I believe I will get lots of wonderful use from it.

This ruler is really awesome! The markings are accurate; I checked it against several rulers. It's thicker than other cutting rulers I have. It's a little thicker than 1/8". I was worried it would feel flimsy because of the slits in it, but it is surprisingly sturdy. You definitely shouldn't be tossing it around, but I'm not worried about it breaking during normal use. I like that there are slits every 1/2". It's easy to include your seam allowances that way. The instructions said the ruler can also be used to make 1/4" cuts, but it didn't explain how, so I don't see how that can be done without moving the ruler for each cut. The instructions did include info on how to use the angled lines which I appreciated because that's always confused me. I feel confident I can do that now. I also appreciate that the lines are marked for both righties and lefties. Even though I'm right handed, this is a nice touch.My biggest complaint is that it didn't work with my 45 mm rotary cutter like it said it would. It barely cut the material underneath and I scuffed up the ruler (see photos) because I was trying to press hard enough for the blade to cut the material. I thought about giving it 3 stars because of this, but the ruler is super great other than this. I can't think of a faster way to cut strips! I'm excited to use this on my next project, just as soon as I buy a 60 mm rotary cutter!

I love this quilting ruler. My old one was bendable, and it had broken in a couple places. I had it taped together but that was annoying. I like how thick this ruler is. I get very precise cuts while using it. Plus, it is the perfect size for my projects.

This ruler has 1/2" spaced slots for your rotary cutter to fit into, to cut fabric accurately for making quilts. It is a good heavy weight to prevent slipping and, a little over 1/8" thick. With all of the cutting slots, it is advised to pick it up with two hands to prevent racking or twisting the ruler. This ruler does it's best job as a tool, using a sharp blade rotary cutter, to help cut multiple layers of folded, width of fabric strips. Then, turn the ruler and subcut across the strips, to cut lots of squares in no time flat. I use mostly repeat blocks in quilting with lots of the same size square pieces so, this will make cutting much faster. It quickly and easily cuts accurate strips, squares, triangles from squares, diamonds. It has markings for left and right handed cutting. One side has centering markings. There are markings for 30, 45, and 60 degree angles. You can cut 1/4" strips by cutting 1/2" strips then, picking up and adjusting the ruler to the 1/4" markings for the second cuts. The black markings may be a little difficult to see on some darker or patterned fabrics but, no ruler is perfect. Included are instructions for use and, some non-slip adhesive circles to prevent ruler slipping. It comes well packaged in a thin flat box with, a cushioning, thickened styrofoam sheet that, helps prevent movement and bending of the ruler. All of this is packaged inside a larger box to prevent breaking.
