This is one of the better purchases I’ve made. Portable and durable and very simple to operate. I’ve used this thing off of a solar battery pack and it will go all night. Simple to operate and remote control to adjust from bed. Bought it in Summer ‘18 and still in use today.

This should be taken off Amazon's list of offerings - it doesn't work at all as advertised. I doubt the air coming out is 2 degrees cooler. It's not quiet unless you set the fan to barely moving mode. One star because the unit is nicely constructed, seems sturdy. Used it twice, giving it to Goodwill because reselling it would be cheating someone. Company didn't respond to my request to return it.

Super quiet! Adds moisture to the air unlike an air conditioner which removes moisture. Cools the air nicely without a lot of electricity. It is not designed to be a noisy window air conditioner but it does cool really well for a low power consumption unit. I hardly ever use my window air conditioning unit anymore because this is all we need unless it gets really hot outside. I might but another one in the middle of summer. It will last all night on one water fill up if the fan is left on medium. So glad I bought it!! Great quality too.UPDATE- I had to buy another unit because the first unit failed. The water pump died. The unit automatically shuts off when the water gets low. I try to keep it full, but I can't watch it every moment of my life. The unit should be built to protect itself- I am not sure it does that very well. I will report back if the second one fails. I really do like the machine however. Don't expect it to cool as well as an air conditioner. Swamp coolers never do, whether big or small, but they certainly make the atmosphere, cooler, more comfortable and not nearly as dry. I am going to drop the rating to four stars for the pump failure. and if it was just a defective unit and not the design and lasts a year or so, I will put it back up to 5 stars again.

I only give it an okay rating because my expectations were a little higher. I had hoped that I could just plug it in and it would work. All the functions on it work fine as advertised. I was concerned about the humidity being less than 65% and ran it then. It did indeed cool down the air about 5 degrees. That was comforting. I was surprised to see that it must be kept near an open window, and another window open for exit air. Also, I tried it with ice and didn't notice a great deal of difference, but didn't measure it. Now, I'm not sure if I should have bought a more powerful floor fan, which would have been a lot cheaper, w/o any worries about water levels. The fan was pretty good though.

Great idea but unit I received was defective out of the box. I purchased a new unit and received it in timely fashion but the water pump never worked correctly. It instantly issued a low water warning even though I filled the water reservoir to the max line. Tried it several times but could never get the unit to work. Without the water pump its basically a very expensive fan. I contacted the seller and after a couple of back and forth tries to get it working they issued me a full refund. IF the unit had worked I think it might be a pretty nice option to cool my small office but after the experience of spending a fair amount of time trying to get it working unsuccessfully, and reading up on how its a brand new design that's only been around for about a year, I decided to go with a traditional window A/C unit instead.I would say its very nice looking unit, well constructed and the fan is as quiet as advertised ... just think they probably have a few kinks to work out.

This is an awesome upgrade to a normal tower fan. My old Lasko tower fan stopped working and I chose to spend a bit more on this fan, with the 3in1 features as they advertised. So far am very satisfied. Firstly, it looks great, the material feels solid-not cheap plastic, was easy to move around and blows stronger wind than my original fan. This is my first time trying out an evaporative cooling type fan and I’m glad I did – after putting water into the tank and switching on the evaporative mode, the wind coming out of the unit is a few degrees cooler and there is no mist spitting out of the unit so the floor stays dry. Warning: You do need to be sitting in the direction of the wind to feel the colder air – it’s not like an air conditioner where the cold air will spread and stay in the room – the cold air lasts where the wind reaches, however, it has worked well for us and reaches most of our sofa area where we need it most. The fan is quiet and we could barely hear it running while watching TV. A negative about the cooling function is that it does make the air more moist, but when that happens we just switch off the cooling function and use it as a standard tower fan. They do advertise the unit to work as a humidifier in the winter – so will test that out later. I haven’t really monitored how many hours the water in the tank lasts but it was refilled after using it for about 2 days (around 4-5 hours a day). Overall, I’d say this is a good investment if you are looking for something cooler to replace your old fan. Although if you need to cool a bigger room and don’t want moist air, then opt for a bigger fan without the evaporative cooling option or spend more for a portable air conditioner instead.
