When I inbox these buckles, I was pleasantly surprised they were actually heavy duty. All the materials used in the straps or nice and thick compared to standard backpack straps and all the stitching is reinforced. I was able to send him down and really put some tension on each buckle and they gave no indication of failing. I would love to retrofit all my bags with the strap they are that good. Five stars given.

These straps work, but are honestly a bit too long for lashing items to a backpack. They can be shortened, but the tails can be cumbersome to deal with.Length aside, they do work quite well. I was able to strap a sleeping bag to my hiking backpack's compression straps no problem. Keep in mind that these are most useful if your bag has lots of anchor loops on it. You can also wrap an end around something and hook it back on itself, if there's no loop available.Quality is okay. All of the plastic hardware feels very sturdy, but the straps themselves feel a little thin. They should still be more than adequate for their task, though.Overall, they work pretty well, but I wish they were a more manageable length.
