Had a hard time re-starting my ‘67 Camaro after it’s hot and gets left for a few minutes. Was super embarrassed by it as usually people are usually watching and would crank and crank before finally catching… Just installed this heat shield and took it for a rip. When I went to restart a few minutes later it took a fraction of the cranking! Super impressed so far! I mean, seems like a design flaw in the carb but this is a great workaround. Had to grind it down a bit to fit the vacuum line for the brakes but overall very happy with the fit and look of it. 👍

Seller is GREAT, good communication ... but this falls outside of their warranty offered.NOT HAPPY with this product, would NOT recommend to anybody. If you need an insulator, buy a one-piece ... where the resin won't come apart.Appreciate the seller pointing me to where I have to go for possible warranty.

Very good results but will need to trim about an 1/8 of an inches of gasket material around the opening

This is the most expensive carb insulator I'm aware of, but it's worth it. This is not just a nicely cut piece of aluminum. It's a unique aluminum-foam-aluminum sandwich constructed sheet that really deflects heat from your carb. Very nice. I highly recommend this of your having hot carb problems.
