The envelopes I received were not Tyvek. These envelopes can easily be torn apart by hand. Tyvek should not be easily torn. It's what they use to put on the side of houses to keep the elements out.Many packages I sent using these envelopes were damaged in transit as a result of the low quality. I'm throwing away the rest.

Very sturdy for mailing 3 ring binders full of papers. The corners never poke through or weaken the envelope, and the accordion folds on the sides assure a snug fit when combined with the self sealing closure. We use a small amount of packing tape to finish the fit for mailing. We keep coming back to this product several times per year and are very happy with the price and quality.
