The envelopes have rust marks on them from the clasp of the envelope they are pressed against.

I have bought these envelopes quite a few times and have found that the quality isn't always consistent. I have some boxes of envelopes that were great. The last box of 500 envelopes I received, the majority of them were sealed on the inside by the adhesive that holds the envelope together. It was a pain to use them because I had to carefully pry them apart, trying not to rip through the front or back of the envelope. Another box I received the tabs in the back weren't centered on the holes used to close the envelope, so I had to rip the holes a bit to close the envelopes. I think they need to do a quality control check every now and then.

These are not really heavy but they are exactly what I needed since the extra weight is not needed for what I mail. I usually tape the seams when I mail in any envelope anyway so they will work great. The value for the money was super. I usually pay at least $16 for 100 envelopes so you can see the 500 count box was a great value. They shipped very quickly as well. I'm super happy.
