I should have paid more attention to the description. I have been wanting to get these grooved books for my daughter and she was looking forward to the help with her hand writing but we just was not impressed 😕 Books are small and the pen was a joke.

For those having trouble getting the ink cartridge to fit into the pen, don’t unscrew the black part. Unscrew the silver tip section and insert from there into the black section of the pen instead. Hope that helps! I initially took it apart from the black middle section and main barrel of the pen and the ink wouldn’t fit that way. I then realized I could remove the silver tip at the end as well and inserting from there allows the ink to fit and stay in place when all screwed together. Was hoping the size of the letters and numbers were smaller though to help my 1st grader (almost 2nd grader at this point in the school year I guess) with her writing but the size of the letters is more suited for kindergarten. Still good practice hopefully though since I think all these books are about the same size of letters unfortunately.

The books were exactly as described and are perfect for preschoolers learning to form shapes, letters, and numbers on paper.

These are so cool. I don't know how it works but the ink from the pen disappears rather quickly. They work great with supervision from parents because of this. Repeatable practice. The printing helps our son with how legible his stories are.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality. Love the storage bag, it’s thin but perfect. I had no issues loading the ink. The pens are cute and got my girls excited. My daughter has no issue begging guided by the groove and she’s excited about getting to use a pen. Only “weird” things I came across was the lowercase f and the number 5. Letters are also at a slant but I don’t mind that.

Handwriting lessons have been the bane of my existence for the first term of school. Then we found this! Praise the Lord!!! This book set has saved my sanity. Little guy is learning the proper way to form letters really well. He enjoys it. !!! He gets to use the drawing book as a reward for doing his letter Page well. (Which is even more fine motor practice) and I can take a much more hands-off approach to this subject. We are both happier people!I like the smaller size of the print. It gets them ready to write on regular paper straight out of the gate. Without wasting time learning to write huge and then having to relearn the next year.The ink disappears over and over just as advertised. It works exactly as it should. Perfect!

That's how I know they are good - they hold her interest! My daughter needed help with handwriting and was getting frustrated with schoolwork. Printing out worksheets and purchasing activity books just wasn't cutting it. These books have done the trick! The key is in the "magic" disappearing ink, the cute pens, and the carrying case. The books are just the right size for her to hold and manage, and they come in alphabet, math, numbers, and drawing. The letters are a little smaller than I would like, but their size forces her to focus more on holding the pen and control. So far, she loves working in her books and I can definitely tell improvement when she is writing freehand. I would absolutely recommend these books to beginners.
