Good art pencils for a decent price. I have been relying on this brand for our single-color pencil refills for years now. The quality is consistent. The tips last like a traditional mid-range brand. These fit into automatic sharpeners easily (and don't grind down to nothing!). I read other reviews that the leads arrived broken, but we've ordered these multiple times without incident.

Nice color selection. Bought 4 varieties. Smaller circumference around the pencil. So Sharpened area can’t expose much, requires more frequent sharpening. None of the colors are bold however they present medium strong on the pages. Work well as watercolor pencils too. Once again, the colors are not bold but great for medium to light needs.

I did hope to have colors that were mostly green for foliage, however, at least 4 of the blue-greens lean quite blue. I also don’t care for the fact that they have no identifying color name or number, so I have to continually test before use. I will definitely buy other colors from this company since they are quality, soft/oil blendables, and are vividly pigmented. I’d love to see a set of 12 actually green pencils, though. Love that this company recognized the need for multiple hues in color families. Yay!

These came today. One broken point, but they came in just a cardboard box in an insulated bag with 2 pounds of Espresso Beans. :) SO - there was a bit of a rough trip for the pencils. I swatched them, matching the colors to the image on AMAZON of the colors. VERY easily set down, very easy to do the gradient chart. I just love greens of all shades, and wanted these to compliment my already large number of greens through my mostly harder pencil sets. My Prismas have a lot of greens too, but you can never have enough greens. These do wonderfully on just printer paper, so I am anticipating excellent results on quality sketchbook and coloring book papers. The tin is a Derwent tin sold here on AMAZON with the lovely tray that now holds these pencils. Under the tray is a variety of other greens I had in my assorted pencils remnants from past sets.

The colors are most definitely pastel, and yet are vibrant when applied full strength. I've been using these both wet and dry on coloring books with thin, inexpensive paper and they work exceptionally well. I can be very quick and careless with my dry application, and yet, just a damp brush is enough to activate it, get rid of the lines and move the pigment around as needed. When I want the applied color to look like a smoothed out layer of regular colored pencil, I use a damp waterbrush (it acts as a blender). When I want the actual watercolor effect, I simply add more water to the brush. Very easy pencils to work with.

I got this green set to compliment my Star-Joy oil based set of 72 that is lacking in greens. I found the lack of numbers and names as other reviewers stated and marked mine with numbers so I could make a swatch card. I also got a pencil wrap case. The flower picture is from a budget coloring book and these greens were perfect, even thought the paper is not the best quality. I tried them out in my good Johanna Basford Small Victories coloring book and LOVE these pencils! They apply smoothly and blend perfectly. They are the perfect companion to my Star-Joy oil color pencils.

New to adult coloring I’m trying to build up my coloring pencil colors. I was looking for skin tone colors and cane across this. Thinking it would be a good deal to build up my colors I went with this set I’m very disappointed with the skin tone colors. The variety is not all skin tone. The pencils wear out quickly & don’t sharpen well. I do like the watercolor pencils. They are mostly pastel with a couple neon. The pastels were a nice accompaniment to my basic colors. I like the pigment. I use them often. My only issue that the tips break easily. I want more soft core pencils because of these. The Macroon colors are a nice surprise of wonderful metallic colors. A nice variety of light and dark colors. Very easy to color with & wonderful pigment. They sharpen well. The tips don’t break easily. If you are looking to add to basic colors as a beginner this will work & is a great value. I’m not sure I’ll buy this brand again.

These have nice pastel colours. They sharpen well and the lead doesn’t break like others I’ve used.

This is for the macaroon (pastel) color watercolor pencils.Omg. First, for 8.00 for pastel colors I was thrilled. Second, as soon as I got them, I opened them up, took them out and looked at the leads. Very very nice. They are thick, no breakage, no issues, and when used, these work beautifully. No effort to get a light color of it and just a little more press and you get great coverage. These are harder being watercolor not colored pencils, but I used dry and I would love these as a dry pencil !! They work so great! And then, adding a swatch I added water to one side of it and it flows nicely and clearly. Almost no lines left when added water making me believe these are top notch. It does make a difference to me when the pencil leaves lines and doesnt disolve all the way or pretty close to all the way. I immediately started to color in a fairy greyscale book and I loved the feel of these dry. I'm not done coloring yet, but I had to do the review because I want to buy a second set already!!! That's how much I love these. I have not tried the metallic pack of colored pencils or the skin colors so I cant say anything about those. But these, macaron color watercolor pencils. Yes. I love. 😄❤❤ I will add photos after my picture is done of both the dry look and the water added plus my swatch cards. I hope this review helps someone make up their mind if they wanted to try these.

The colors are so pretty and they color with ease. Some color pencils don't color easily on paper. These ones color smoothly. I love them.

The colors are amazing, much better than what Crayola gives you. I really like how it's black wood instead of the usual color. They also arrived in perfect condition!
