I purchased these to go on a vinyl coated screen door. They will close, but not strong enough to handle wind. I had to add an extra door spring to help the door faster.

They do the job quiet well coming the solid door to the aviary.

They need oiling often as they become squeaky quickly. Also, unless you let the door slam, it won’t shut the door the last little bit by itself.

The hinges on my porch screen door were very old and rusty. I checked the local hardware stores and could not find any suitable. When I bought these, they arrived within two days and I was able to get them installed easily.
