I never saw this type of hook before, but used them to hang string lights. The tool that come with the set is amazing put it in my battery operated drill, took no time to secure the outdoor lights. Even when the wind is heavy string lights stay secure.

It came well packaged. I really appreciated that it came with a bit that you can use to drill them in to place; however, it will scratch the black finish off the hook if you aren't incredibly gentle. I used them to hang a privacy shade on my deck and they worked out excellent. Two of the hooks failed and broke off (see picture 3). I had to change the hooks placement after the second one broke since I was unable to get it out.I would suggest drilling a small pilot hole if drilling directly in to wood. It comes with drywall plugs but I'm not confident they are very good quality, there is no lip to prevent the plug from just passing through the pilot hole when any pressure is applied. If you need to put in to drywall I would say you're better off buying a different plug from your local hardware store. They seem sturdy but we will see how they hold up this summer.

I used these hooks to hang Christmas lights on the outside of my house. The hooks came with a tool for easy installing. They seem durable enough. The lights are still hanging, so I don't know how easy it will be to take the lights down. I am hoping they will last for years.

Size is good for my light strands. Not big enough for extension cord because it can’t get past the safety spring. Appreciate the driver tool. Worked remarkably well. Did twist one screw off. Snapped with too much torque. Would buy again.

Made for a clean looking install. Very sturdy and strong. Did drill pilot holes prior to screwing in hooks.There is a slotted tool included to tighten hooks.I don't believe that is stated in the item description.That being said I didn't use it. I'm sure some may find it helpful. I included a picture.
