Smaller, more frequent water changes are essential to maintaining the health and vitality of your beautiful, exotic fish. Without routine water changes, invisible toxins such as ammonia can quickly build up in your aquarium and create a hazardous environment for its inhabitants. The Python No Spill Clean and Fill Aquarium Maintenance System is a complete ready-to-use unit which adapts easily to most faucets and makes frustrating, time consuming water changes a breeze! Instead of siphoning water through a tube with your mouth and lugging around heavy buckets and spilling water on the floor, simply attach the Python attachment to your closest faucet and begin cleaning! The water flows directly from tap to tank when filling up your aquarium, and when you are ready to empty, simply turn the nozzle and the water will flow directly from your tank and into the sink without hassle or mess. This convenient system quickly drains and fills aquariums, yet is gentle and mobile enough to not disturb sensitive fish or delicately placed decor while vacuuming gravel or completing other routine maintenance. Forget the struggles and frustrations! No buckets, no siphons, no mess, no tank tear downs...EVER again! The versatile Python unit is suitable for use in both freshwater and saltwater aquariums of any shape or size! The Python No Spill Clean and Fill Aquarium Maintenance System includes: hose, 10" gravel tube, switch, hose connectors, faucet pump, and brass faucet adapter. Fully compatible extended length gravel tubes (20", 24", 30", 36", 48, and 72") are available for applications requiring additional reach. Extended length gravel tubes are sold separately.

Best product EVER, definitely worth the money. It may seem pricey but definitely worth it especially in you struggle to clean your aquarium by yourself! We have a bow front 46 gallon and instead of doing bucket trips and taking breaks we were able to attach it to the sink and clean all in one go!

I really like this hose, it’s made cleaning my tanks so much easier and quicker than using buckets lol! The only downside is that there is a lot of water wastage. But as it’s so quick, I guess that is an easy compromise. Highly recommend!

I own three fish tanks at home, and this siphon has been a game-changer. I’ve bought multiple siphons to clean my tanks, but I wish I had invested in this one from the beginning. It’s sturdy, works wonderfully, and is easy to set up and use. I can now clean all three tanks in about half an hour, which is a significant reduction from several hours before. If you’re looking for a siphon to clean your tanks, buy this one and avoid my mistakes and going through multiple siphons.

I purchased this product to make maintaining my 125-gallon aquarium significantly easier and less time-consuming, and it has delivered exactly as expected. We’ve used it twice so far, and it works perfectly. The length is ideal for running water both into the room and outside, offering great versatility. There have been no leaking issues, and as long as water conditioner is added beforehand, there are no downsides to using this product. It has truly simplified the water change process and saved me a lot of effort.I highly recommend this to anyone managing large aquariums or needing to perform frequent water changes. This has been the best solution I’ve found for maintaining my tank so far!

This is a game changer, compared to buckets and containers. However it took some getting used to and it works great for me now. For me it was challenging on a small tank such as a 20 gallon but my two bigger tanks it works great. Now it works on all of them. The valves is how it siffens and it seems very sturdy as I put it to the test once and it still works well. Always match water coming in to tank temp as always.

Highly recommended. Game changer for aquarium owners. No more carrying heavy bowls of water. No more big splashes of water on the floor. Once you get the hang of it to get the water flowing through the pipe, you can just sit down and monitor the amount of water you want removed from the tank. Get this product. Love it. I had to wait a little time for delivery but be patient, worth the wait.

So easy. 50ft of hose. You can also buy a hook separately for this. I have it hooked to my bathroom sink. Just had to take the aerator off.All you gotta do is put the vacuum in the tank and go turn the tap on until the water goes all the way to the tap and then you can turn of the tap. The suction is good enough to keep sifting the water. No need to waste water!! Most people dont know this. Once your done emptying, either put the hook on or if you dont have one, switch the green part on the tap part to fill and turn the tap back on. Add your conditioner directly to your tank before your start filling.Great quality hose, attachment are useful. All fish keepers with tanks bigger than 20 gallon tanks should have this!

I love my Python… I’ve owned one for the last 14 years. I moved to Europe and didn’t ship my old one with me, which is why I’ve ordered this new one. My only gripe is that the faucet attachment pieces are mostly plastic, and they sometimes pop off my faucet under pressure. Otherwise, no complaints. It’s easy to get replacement parts when needed.

I heard about this product for years but as I live in Australia it's not sold here so I never gave it much thought. After years of struggling with buckets, I saw many YouTube videos of North American fish keeper using the Python to change water with ease. I had a look on amazon and saw prime has these at a reasonable price including shipping to Australia, so I bought one. I have not looked back since, its the best money I have spent on a fish keeping accessory in my 15 years in the hobby.Note as I live in Australia, I had to buy adaptors to connect to our taps/hoses. I used both the hoselink us caravan adaptors and Bunnings north American sprinkler adaptor. Both worked with no issues, however the sprinkler adaptor connected to our garden hoses was the easiest.I now do 75-90 % water changes on all my 200litre+ tanks with ease. I use water conditioner (dose for the entire tank once) as the water is going into the tank and have had no issues (including with baby fish and my sensitive German blue rams). My nitrates are super low and tanks crystal clear. You can do less say 50% if you are worried about shocking your fish.In my opinion after filters and air stones, this is the most important accessory you could buy for a freshwater tank of greater than say 60 liters.Get one, it's worth the effort of adapting it your tap/water system. It will save your back and your fish will be much happier.

I was having to do a water change on my 100 gallon aquarium once a week, hauling buckets.....It wasn't fun. We have a pretty large amount of plants so I didn't have to change it as frequently. However, this purchase changed my life. I actually couldn't get it to work at all with the feature to siphon from the aquarium using the pressure from your tap so this is what I do and it works perfectly. I set the python into the aquarium and hook it up to my faucet on the other end as I would fill the aquarium. Then I turn on the hose and pump water into the aquarium until the hose is filled, I then detach the faucet end and either hang it outside or into the bathtub and the siphon is incredibly fast. Using this method I can empty or fill from almost anywhere in the house. Changing my aquarium water is no longer a chore. It's incredibly easy. I would highly recommend this product to anyone that has an aquarium of any size.

When I upgraded from a 10 gallon tank to a 40 gallon tank, water changes became an all day event. Grabbing buckets, starting the siphon, draining, doing it 10 times, then having to refill the tank was such a hassle. I didn’t know anything like this existed until I searched for it on Amazon. After looking at several models, I went with the Python kit with a 50 foot length of tube. After using it a few times, I love it, but you should keep a few things in mind:1. The sink valve comes with a high quality brass adapter. If you have a standard kitchen faucet, you will likely need to remove the faucet aerator from the sink and use the brass adapter. Without the adapter the sink valve fits a standard hose bib. You may have to buy a separate adapter for unusual types of faucets.2. For a good siphon when cleaning, you should ideally connect the faucet adapter to a faucet lower than your tank, otherwise the siphon will be slow. When I first tried to use it with my kitchen sink (same level as tank), the siphon was sluggish and it only moved maybe a gallon a minute. I use mine with a handheld shower head that lies on the shower floor so that it is lower than the tank. You could also use it with an outside hose bib or a downstairs faucet if you have a long enough tube.3. Leaving the faucet on when siphoning frankly wastes a lot of water. It will work just fine if you disconnect it once the siphon has begun.4. If you have a septic tank and a large aquarium I would not dump all your fish tank water down the drain, 20-30 gallons of tank water could overload your septic lines. On the whole this is an excellent product, I would just keep the above things in mind when purchasing so that you have success when using it.

After reading reviews on this Python water changer and the Aqueon one, I was rather torn between the two. Eventually, I went with the Python and haven't regretted my decision at all. I'm currently 8 months pregnant and have no issues doing water changes for our 55 gallon tank which would have been pretty much impossible for me if I'd had to haul buckets back and forth. If you want the short and sweet version, just buy this now. It's the best investment I have made other than the fish themselves. A few notes below...1) I have a Delta kitchen faucet and there was no way to connect it to this, not even with adapters from home improvement stores, just due to how the aerator is supposed to seal on the faucet. Well, it could connect, but it leaked like crazy and was far less effective. Thankfully, I was able to use the brass adapter that came with the product on my bathroom faucet and that's the one I use for the water changes now.2) I've noticed that the suction isn't the greatest, regardless of whether I leave the water running in the bathroom while vacuuming or not (you can turn the water off once the suction has been established). It's manageable but I find myself reaching for my normal siphon and a bucket to "pre-clean" if there are particularly dirty areas. This is probably due to there not being a great difference in height between the tank and bathroom sink. Again, works well enough most of the time, just not when I'm feeling really OCD about seeing debris sitting on top of my sand.3) The hose itself is very pliable which is awesome and makes the process very easy. 50 feet is a bit of a pain to roll up again, though. I am tempted to get a hose reel but that may or may not work well since I have to go pretty slowly and raise the coil above the sink level to get it to drain excess water in the hose when I'm finished. Minor annoyance given how much time and effort this thing saves me otherwise.4) Construction is solid. Yes, some pieces are plastic but they're pretty heavy duty. As long as you don't try to he-man the connection when you screw it on, you can get a tight fit with no leaks and no plastic cracking or breaking. Even if you do, there are replacement parts which is great and saves me from having to buy an entirely new one in the future.5) I saw a few complaints about the refill process, but again, no issues for me. I temperature match the water, reverse the flow so it starts to fill the tank and let it run. You can continue temperature testing if your water supply can't hold a steady temperature, but that's not the fault of the device. As it fills, I occasionally add 1/4 tsp of Seachem Prime until I reach the total dose for my tank. If you have a saltwater tank, well... your mileage will probably vary.Overall, I'd say I can be done with a 50% water change in 15 or 20 minutes. Totally worth it and I'm sure my fish are happier with more regular and quicker water changes!
