It's loud. I'm a pe teacher and I don't have to try and yell at my students when we're outside. This baby yells for me!

Its a great rechargeable megaphone for indoor/outdoor activities. Mine has gotten wet, dropped countless times, and handles by middle schoolers for months. Works perfectly. The charger can be a bit of a hassle but the charge last quite awhile as long as you aren't playing music through it. I don't recommend playing music through it because it doesn't sound great due to the speaker not being designed for it. I used it daily for 3+ ours a day at a summer camp for almost 2 weeks before recharging it. The charger it comes with should be immediately thrown out because the orientation of the usb port causes the wire to bend in a way that will ruin the cable. Just use you phone charger. You can also choose to forgo the rechargeable battery and use standard batteries. Although I don't recommend that as much due to cost. But it is a nice backup for if the battery pack fails. The siren feature is great for getting peoples attention without being too obnoxious if used correctly.

Overall a pretty good mega phone. I appreciate the option to power the mega phone with batteries or a rechargeable power bank. The only negative that I have found thus far is the rubber o-ring around the battery cap. Mine will not stay in place and at times I need 3 hands to close the back up.I also bought this used and it was less than half the price of new. I would not pay full price for this unit. Don’t get me wrong, I like this mega phone but it’s not worth the msrp of $50.

We purchased our new Megaphone for our Red Mill Annual Community Day event. We purchased it primarily to encourage people to come to our dunk tank. It worked so easily and so well, we used it in multiple areas. The dunk tank earned over $1000 for charity. The teasing, taunting and recruiting with our megaphone had a lot to do with that success. We didn't use the USB input but tried it and it work well, good volume, clear sound, not at all muffled. Having the battery pack as a backup to the rechargable pack is a nice security blanket. We didn't need it though because the rechargable pack lasted so long and if needed, it charges quickly. Love this thing! It held a charge well and recharged quickly at the end of the day. Easy to use, feels sturdy and after 9 hours of use with multiple users, still looks new. We will likely be purchasing another one or two for future activities. Thanks for a good product, well made, performing as advertised AND at a reasonable price. We expect this item to be around for our use for many years.

THIS THING IS LOUD! I use my bullhorns to harass my friends ( which is an art form don't try it at home, one wrong comment and you will be chased with ;pitchforks ) My friends have tried to steal my bullhorns (unsuccessfully) and bought their own small ones ( which I promptly steal and display later as trophies). I got wind of a plot against the king of bullhorns and had to go to a big battleship type weapon. This is it. This is maximum effect. Its so bodacious that inside it will feedback if you don't run the throttle right. Outside no one can stop you. It comes with a shoulder strap and a microphone as you can see. I installed a microphone holder on the strap so I can have the mike like a police officer. Put on the horn cross style with the horn at your waist and microphone on the strap. You are now invincible. Except for your wife. I could go on and on about how much fun this can be but as mentioned THIS THING IS LOUD! and the recharge batteries are great.

Well, just got this today and I can't get it to work. I plugged the rechargeable battery in until the LED turned from red to green. I guess this is proper because the instructions made absolutely no mention of what to do with the battery. I thought maybe the instructions are in fact for a different model because they didn't mention the lithium ion battery whatsoever. So I get home and see the battery is charged, plug it in which is itself a little confusing because the battery is the size of 4 'C' batteries when this bullhorn has room for 8 'C' batteries. So I guess I slide the rechargeable pack into the middle two slots (of four total slots) and turn it on. I said guess, because again, the instructions made no mention at all of the rechargeable battery or what to do with it. Does it provide the same voltage as 8 'C' batteries? Am I missing an extra rechargeable pack? I'm guessing this pack is adequate, but I wonder because all the instructions talk about is putting 8 'C' batteries into it. I could check the voltage of the rechargeable pack versus 8 'C' batteries with my multi-meter but I shouldn't HAVE to if any of this was covered in the instructions, and even if it's not adequate and it only works with 8 C sized batteries, that defeats the purpose of buying this one with the rechargeable battery included. (It DID provide the required voltage. See Edit #2 at bottom) So, I turn it on and....nothing (as you probably guessed by my one star review). Well not entirely nothing. I can hear the "click" of the amp coming on and was pleased but when I spoke nothing at all came out. I tried every combo I could. I used the trigger on the handle and the button on the mic and turned the volume knob all the way up and down. Each time I get the "click" that tells me it's got power but nothing is "comin' out da horn". I tried the siren. That worked, so bedsides the "click" I know that it's got power, just nothing from trying to amplify my voice. I was going to blame it on the button to talk on the mic as it seems really cheap but when I use the trigger on the handle it still doesn't work. And LASTLY, the Amazon ad says it's got 50 Watts of power but the instructions that came with it says right in the manual that it is 18W with a peak wattage of 25W. What gives?? I was willing to let the wattage thing go and test it out but I can't get it to work besides the siren (I didn't bother to try the MP3 feature). If anyone can tell me what I'm doing wrong, I'm all ears, otherwise it's going back on Monday.EDIT (already): I just tried the AUX input with my iPod. That DID work as well as the siren (but neither sounded all that loud) so I'm guessing that I got a bad microphone. Either that or it's under powered with the rechargeable battery and needs 8 C batteries to work properly. I'm not going to go out and by 8 C batteries just to test that theory out so sorry. It should work with the advertized battery that it came with anyway.EDIT #2: Out of curiosity I DID hook up my multi-meter to the included battery pack and it WAS 12.43 volts so the battery they supplied WAS good. Again, mine must have a busted mic. but even if it worked I think I'd still be disappointed as the MP3 I played and the siren didn't sound all that loud on the fully charged battery.
