Assuming this wasn't mistakenly priced, this is the best deal I've ever seen on speaker wire. The description is 12-gauge although some of the photos make it look like it's a lot thinner gauge, which would normally be the case at this price point, so I was a little reluctant to order it.Turns out, this really is 12-gauge brand name at the price of 18-gauge generic! This stuff is super high-quality and probably thicker and more transmissive than lamp cord.If the price doesn't change (under thirteen bucks for 50 feet right now) this is the only speaker wire I'll ever buy again.

I used this wire to add two "front high" speakers to my home theater system for Dolby Atmos & DTS:X. The wire is marked on one side so as to help keep the polarities correct. Also the wire is limber enough to make routing easier, a plus with heavy12 gauge wire. (remember, the lower the gauge the thicker the wire). Also I like the idea of using all copper wire - not crazy about using aluminum wire that some brands use.In the future if I need more I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this wire again.

Received product early. The sound quality is very excellent, and hooking up to speakers and amplifier is very easy. You can tell the polarity of positive and negative because it has a strip on one of the wires. You can assign that side to either positive or negative. Great quality product, and at a fair price.

El cable fue utilizado para conectar dos torres Polk y un par de bocinas de estantería Klipsch, el cable es de buen grosor y muy flexible con posibilidad de doblarlo en esquinas o espacios estrechos y a un precio justo.

Other have said these are not copper, but this might be hit or miss as mine were. At first looking at the manufacturer cut cross section, it looked like aluminum in the middle, but I think that's just used to prevent fraying when cutting. I cut off a few cm and found what appeared to be woven copper strands. Unless the coated every strand of aluminum with copper, this is in fact a copper wire. They seem to bring out a richer sound than the 16 gauge wire I previously had running to my front speakers in my 7.1. So far I see nothing wrong with the wire especially when connected with ocelot banana plugs. YMMV

Wanted some heavier wire for connecting a new set of Klipsch Speakers to my old Adcom Amplifiers and found this spool here on Amazon for considerably less than any of the local big box stores in my area. Their pricing was just absurd for speaker wire, even the smaller 14ga. I'm not one who "needs" the more expensive, some insanely priced brands that are out there now. My runs are short, about 8ft to each main speaker, and about 4ft to the center channel speaker, so this wire was more than enough to do all of those, with plenty of extra when required. I've noticed no difference in this 12ga wire over the old 10ga and 8ga wire I used to use in years past, other than thickness of course. This wire works very well and you get to pocket some extra money for other goodies. I'm not sure if this wire is rated for any in wall installations or not, but to me that didn't factor into the buying decision. I just wanted some decent 12ga speaker wire at a reasonable price. And here it is. Thanks Amazon.

It just doesn't get any better than this. 12 gauge wire will give you the lowest resistance you could possibly want for the signals you're running through it. No signal loss with this wire. For those not familiar with dedicated wiring the red stripe that runs along the length of one of the wires denotes the positive lead. This is very important for proper phasing of the audio signals as they leave the speakers. Source signals of any kind that are panned evenly across both right & left channels could actually suffer from phase cancellation if the positive wire were to go to the negative connection and the negative wire to the positive connection. This could leave said signal inaudible. So it's very important to match the positive of any signal generating equipment (amplifiers and such) with the positive of signal reception equipment (typically speakers). And again with 12 gauge wire you don't have to worry about any signal loss due to resistive loading from higher gauge wire. Also be careful when you strip the wire that you don't take any wire from the cable. As with many things in life it's only as strong as its weakest link and if you strip wire along with the insulation then you're just effectively changing the gauge of the wire which will increase the resistance and impede your signal. Have fun!!

Man, I must say this speaker wire is a bargain and thick and tough enough for car audio. I had used bits and pieces from several wiring kits for most of my wiring.( and most of it is garbage) My front speakers have good wiring, My sub and rear speakers did not. This solved that problem today with plenty left over. I could not be more pleased.

This is a spool of very good copper. I was very pleased to find that it is very thick, which means more signal and sound to your speakers, but for some speaker terminals, IE, small clip type terminals like the ones on some T-Amps. and older speakers, this may be too much of a good thing and will not fit. If you force them to fit by only using half of the copper strands at the terminals, I recommend you use electric tape around the other exposed strands of cable to avoid shorts when amp or speakers are moved. But, Wow, monster thick, oxygen free, color coded, speaker wire at this price and quality can't be beat.
