The subwoofer works really well. It's certainly not the best in the world but for its price point it is an excellent purchase. I got it so I could build my own boombox as I thought it would be a fun project. It was a perfect way to save money and still get good quality. I would buy from Pyle again. While I can't measure exactly how much wattage I'm using accurately, I can make it rattle my windows a little without blowing it. Although I could imagine that on a moving boat one might not be sufficient. Additionally, you'll want to make sure that your driver has a high-frequency cutoff, as it really can't handle going into the mids. But that is to be anticipated with a subwoofer.

Bought these and they actually sound nice. I'm running six 6.5 and these as subs on a 5 channel Amp in my boat. They actually hit hard and drop some nice base. Pleasantly surprised and happy with them. Let's see how they hold up.

Played some serious bass music on the boat the other day and the speaker worked great. The flanges rom the inner portion to the speaker output caused some mounting problems but made for a snug fit in the old cut out. May also replace th smaller speakers with Pyle.

This sub won't bump you out of the boat, but for the price it's very good paired with the Pyle Hydra 1000watt amp.

I installed this on my boat to replace a Clarion, and I'm very happy! I'm not that guy that has to have his stereo the loudest, so this works just fine for me. Although, I have had it pumped the volume up on a 400 watt amp, and it sounds great! Good price, good looks, and sounds great!!!
