Motor Power Recommend

HARMNEE motor speed controller applies to DC brush motor and need to match with DC power supply. It doesn’t fit for brushless motor or AC power supply.

HARMNEE motor controller is with rated current 40 amps and supports max current up to 60 amps. For motor, its starting current is several times of its rated current. To ensure security, the rated current of motor used should be less than 40 amps. Recommended motor power is as below.

  • 12V Motor within: 12V*40A=480W
  • 24V Motor within: 24V*40A=960W
  • 36V Motor within: 36V*40A=1440W
  • 48V Motor within: 48V*40A=1920W
  • 55V Motor within: 55V*40A=2200W

Installation Instructions

1. Before you attempt to wire the controller, make sure your power is off. And please turn off the switch on the speed controller.

2. Follow the wiring diagram on the controller, connect the wires between the power supply, controller and motor accurately. Please distinguish the positive and negative terminals for power supply.

Attention: Do NOT reverse positive and negative power loads, otherwise it will damage the controller.

3. Fix the motor in place. Then turn on the power and controller switch. Now adjust the potentiometer knob to control motor speed. The LED display will show you the real-time speed percentage.

4. If everything goes well, fix the controller in place somewhere. Enjoy your use experience.

This thing craps out every two minutes it won’t even run a 12 V windshield wiper motor. This thing is it’s weak it is it’s not made for legit serious work if you needed to run Sega haircutting trimmers you might get you might get your moneys worth out of this thing it does do forward and reverse. Unfortunately it won’t run the motor for very long.

I have used a few import pwm controls and this one has the best quality control so far. I connected this to a 40 amp DC power supply for a large DC motor. It handles the current fine and the motor seems to run quieter. Great product ! Oh, and the label for -/+ is correct.

I've been using this on my motorized kayak project for continuously variable speed control vs the 5 speed controller that came on the trolling motor.I do wildlife photography from my fishing kayak and this provides just the right control to approach at an appropriate speed while adjusting for wind or water speed.

Love this plug in play PWM. Thank you to the seller for clarifying that the written instructions were incorrect and to follow the on board wiring designations.I will keep troubleshooting, but the LCD does not read properly. For my project this is not a necessary feature so it's not a huge deal for me. But for others, beware the LCD either needs to be rewired or replaced. I haven't dug in far enough yet to know which.The direction/on off switch its very nice and the potentiometer is in great working order.
