This Abbott Rubber hose is a 50' discharge hose for a water pump. The hose is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) for corrosion resistance, high strength, and light weight, with a high-tensile polyester yarn reinforcement for strength and durability. The hose has a 2" aluminum male cam and groove coupling on one end and a 2" female cam coupling on the other for resistance to corrosion and tarnishing. The couplings have cam lock levers for quick disconnect. This hose is lightweight and lies flat for compact coiling and storage. It has a temperature range of -10 to +150 degrees F and a maximum pressure rating of 65 pounds per square inch (psi). This discharge hose is suitable for use in construction, agricultural, mining, and general open-end water discharge applications. It is not to be used with petroleum-based products.

D = Delivery method (volume and velocity)The inside diameter of the hose must be adequate to keep pressure loss to a minimum and avoid damage to the hose due to heat generation or excessive turbulence. The hose must be capable of withstanding the minimum and maximum temperatures that occur within the hose system. Some applications require specialized oils or chemicals to be conveyed through the system. In this case, hose selection must ensure compatibility of the hose tube, cover, couplings and O-rings with the fluid used. Industrial hoses are used in systems such as air compressors, automatic manufacturing operations, aircraft controls, and tire installation in industries including agriculture, mining, road construction, firefighting, and aviation.

It took alittle over a month to receive the correct product. Then the hookup on one end is extremely tight compared to previously purchased models. Additionally, water leaks from the hose material where it meets the female cam.

They are pricey, I can give you an answer on durability since I just recently purchased this item. I didn't like that I couldn't find a longer hose and instead I have to purchase two hoses.

Everything good, fast delivery although separate days. I failed in my homework as the head of the hose has to adjusted to fit the pump. Quality looks very good.

Purchased with a 2" banjo poly male adapter and attached to my pool filter backwash outlet. Whole process took 5 minutes. This hose is 100x better than any of the crappy pool backwash hoses available. Additionally, removing it.from the filter when not in use is as easy as flipping over the 2 small cam levers.Buy this if you are tired of replacing crappy pool backwash hoses.Only regret is not getting a 100' hose
