This is a cool little portable gym in a bag! It’s got so many pieces, and can be configured in so many different ways. You can practically do a different kind of workout every single day. The quality of the build feels quite good and it’s relatively easy to use and set up. And of course, it’s really neat that it can be so easily moved around.

I ordered the Okson Multi-Functional home “Gym” for the simple reason I’m tired of driving to one. Also, I’m not so much into traditional body building as I am into maintaining a level of fitness, flexibility and body weight conducive to the athletic and recreational activities I participate and enjoy. With that in mind, the Okson Kit looked like a portable, easily stored solution. And there’s other people at a gym; who needs that.My approach to resistance training is that each exercise has its equal and opposite movement; exercises are done in pairs. If an exercise resists a muscle group in one direction, then its mated exercise resists the same muscle group in the other, and so on. Based on Okson’s description and various illustrations shown on their Amazon PoP page, it appeared supportive of my desired approach. That said, my first impression on unboxing the kit left me feeling dubious, due mainly to the fact that the resistance bands seemed way too short, an impression gleaned from others I own. However, that feeling was alleviated as soon as I tried them out, doing exercises that were of most interest to me. I get plenty of leg and lower body exercise from the outdoor activities I enjoy, including team sports, bicycling, rollerblading, hiking and so forth. I ordered the Okson kit specifically for upper body and core workouts that includes curls, overhead presses from a squat, bent over shoulder/back lifts, the ab wheels and the like, all done from the included foldable base. For those types of upper body exercises, the bands are just the right length, allowing tension to be realized from the start of a movement. Furthermore, the bands have adjustable straps for increasing or decreasing their length for just the right fit. With longer bands, there’s a dead area until tension starts. As shown by the sellers’ pictures, by standing on the base, the users weight becomes the fulcrum that allows the bands to be tensed. Upper body workouts are very doable with this kit.Of those parts included in the multi-gym, those that appear to be the most robust are the nicely weighted cross bar, made from threaded steel pipe, and wrapped with foam. In addition, the hard plastic base, that is color coded for each body part, and the ab wheels, made from hard plastic with rubber tracks look like they’ll hold up. The silicone bands and straps aren’t breakable, but may eventually snap over time, like any. The hand grip exerciser is adjustable for tension and incorporates a counter. The jump robe is light weight with comfortable foam handles, and even incorporates an inner bearing; it rotates freely. I prefer a weighted jump rope that I already own. The included figure eight band is probably a Pilates accessory, but doesn’t provide enough tension for anything I do.And then there are all of the other bits and pieces, the strap and push up handles, the door stop, and the ankle straps for lower body and leg work. There’s a silicone finger exerciser that I didn’t find useful. Also included is an instruction sheet with example exercises and usage directions. On the other hand, there are plenty of ideas for targeted resistance routines available by searching the internet.Getting a well-rounded fitness workout with the Okson Multi-Gym is very doable. However, except for the steel cross bar, this is not heavy-duty equipment. There’s never anyway to know how durable a product is until it’s put to a decent amount of use, but my impression is that the Okson is best thought of as a maintenance gym, as opposed to hardcore training equipment. It is provided with a nylon storage bag that fits everything included.Given that the sellers description is accurate enough and based on the limited usage I've put the multi-gym through so far, I haven’t found any reason to criticize it. Just be sure it will provide exercises that allow you to focus on your specific needs. In that respect, it might save you the cost of a gym membership.

My wife bought this for me. I was surprised at how many pieces came with it. It is like a gym-in-a-bag. The biggest piece is the pushup board, very similar to one at the CrossFit club. It reduces wrist stress (compared to flat hands on the floor). It is versatile, folds for convenient storage and has clearly marked locations for the handles so you can isolate and work specific muscle groups. It is hard to describe how flexible this kit is. The kit comes with resistance cables and bands and an adjustable jump rope. There are handles and ankle straps to connect to the resistance cables, as well as a foam device that can turn a door into a cable anchor. And when you want to pick it up and put it away, you can put it in the handy bag that comes with it.It is hard to say too many nice things about this kit.

I am not a well-trained athlete or an expert of any kind. But for the last couple of years I have really been trying to do some resistance training which is so important for bone health. But after switching jobs I know how longer I have access to the super convenience workout room that workers were allowed to use.I did not want to spend money on a bunch of weights that I was not going to want to carry around except while training (like if I move again) and did not really want to pay for a gym membership which I would probably be too intimidated to use.Having the stretchy bands on this push-up board that can be combined in different ways to get different weights is really the perfect solution for me. There is a lot that I can do with this. I don't know how much an experienced lifter or other athletes would care for this depending on what kind of movements their used to doing. I think no matter what tool or type of equipment anyone gets it's always going to have limitations. But this was just really a useful option for me and solved my problems.* I cannot and I speak to how easy it is to keep good form when using the stretchy bands as opposed to free weights. I'm afraid I just don't have enough experience for that. However I will be paying more attention to what good form is from anything I can look up, since this is going to take some getting used to.
