I found myself wishing these were vegan, but they're for a supplement for my cat. She is not vegan. These are perfect. They're tiny to fill (which is the whole point), but they're very easy to put back together. Nothing seems flimsy. We'll see what her bloodwork says, but I'm very happy that she's getting her supplement in an easy-to-administer way, and that I can control exactly how much she is getting.

I rarely review items anymore, but this has made the routine of giving my cat medications so much easier. My cat is on a heart failure regimen and takes 3 tablets a day. Since they are a bit slippery I think my cat has an easier time taking medications. My cat also does not like how plavix/clopidogrel tastes (to the point of becoming nauseous and foaming at the mouth) and the gelatin capsules make taking this particular medication so easy and stress free for him. The capsules are tiny also which is perfect for a small animal

No contraption needed although it’d probably make it faster. You can just push them together with your fingers and they lock good enough to seal liquid.

Using these for the black tar for cancer. Takes less than a pea size. Fits in there, they are just so small it’s hard to get it in and close

I use these to medicate my small cat. The #5 is the smallest size you can get, and these have no dyes. They are transparent so if you are dosing more than one kind of medication you can see what's inside after the pill is made up. They are a bit thinner than other gelcaps, so you have to be careful when handling them in order not to drop them, but overall I am happy with this brand. More value for the money in comparison to many other brands.

The capsules seem to be well made. The are the correct size for a size 5 which is a small capsule. They are very clear so you are able to see where the med is in the capsule. They close easily and tightly but if you need to reopen the capsule to adjust the amount of medication it isn't a problem to do so.

If you have a cat that needs regular medication I can’t stress enough how invaluable these capsules are. I use them to make kitty sized doses of Gabapentin, & for super bad tasting pills like metronidazole & even put small tablets that are prone to crumbling (like Cerenia) inside the caps to prevent losing them if my cat drools too much or spits it out... you know how cats can be. To get powdered meds (like the Gabapentin) into the capsules I make little funnels by twisting up a scrap of paper & taping the edges. I bought the jar of 100 caps a little over a year ago & was so happy with them that I didn’t hesitate to buy this bag of 1000 when I needed more. Plus, they’re pure beef. No weird or questionable or dangerous ingredients.

These work great for the larger pills that your pet might need to take. I'd recommend dry hands when handling and making sure to either give your pet food after they have gotten their pill or make sure they drink a little to help wash them down. They are sturdy and of good quality. No scent and my cats don't act like they have any distasteful flavor. I've used these for years and the quality is always outstanding.
