I'm only giving this 4 stars because I haven't gotten bloodwork done to see the effects, but it seems like a good product. The one that I got from the vet was huge tablet that I could break up but couldn't crush and giving it to my cat was way too much stress for all involved. So I figured that I would try this, she wasn't happy that I added yet another supplement to her wet food, but the powder got covered up pretty easily so that she was able to get it down. We'll know better once she's been on it for a while and can do another round of bloodwork.

This is a nice add to your cat's diet. Simply because they're not giving enough and their food as everything is made in such bulk, it's a great value for the money. The cat's energy levels seem to go up and it appears to be effective. And for the amount that you use size wise, it's a very good deal. It appears to be a good, healthy. Add-on to your cat's diet for the size that you're getting. It's definitely worth the price. It's a good deal, highly recommend this one. It's a good size for the price

I can't tell, obviously, confirmation by lab results, but it does seem to improve the vitality of one particular cat that I have. His appetite seems better, more energy, and as I'd like to think, perhaps a turn around for him. I would recommend this product, as I've seen positive results. Thank you, and God bless.

This is my cat's first time trying SAM-E supplement. I like giving him healthy things because he's getting old and he needs all the help he can get. This formulation has chicken flavoring in it so he has no problem with it mixed in his food. I recently made the mistake of buying capsules for another supplement to him thinking I could just open them onto his food. But after reading the bottle I discovered that was specifically instructed against. He hates taking pills and so I can only get him to take in powder or drop form. He doesn't have any problems with his liver so I don't have any noticeable improvements to report. I'm just happy he's taking a supplement that has some research suggesting that it is healthy to his liver.

I have recently seem several older cats who had to deal with liver, and have never considered this aspect before, usually with cats it is kidney issues.Hopefully this product will be a proactive medication

Ordered this for my cat who has had very high elevated liver enzymes in previous blood test results. His vet recommended a tablet, but over time my cat became very resistant to taking it. So, I really like that this SAMe comes in a powder form and includes limited fillers, so each scoop per serving can be hidden in my cat’s wet food (the scoop size seems like a quarter or half a teaspoon). I also really like that it’s supposed to be human-grade as well. One drawback was the small container and narrow opening. If you have larger hands or clunky fingers, trying to fish out the scoop from the original bottle can be a little tedious each time, especially when the bottle is close to empty, so I transferred it to a wide-mouth glass jar instead. For the value, I found it’s actually cheaper than the other brand that I’ve been giving my cat, though that one also contains silybin. I also ordered the dog version from the same company thinking the milligram concentration was different, but they’re actually identical. The label for the dog version accommodates for higher dosages based on weight (1 scoop is 100mg, 2 scoops 200 mg, and so on), but they could’ve easily made one product for both cats and dogs and reworked the dosage graphics.

I didn't realize this was simply a powdered supplement for cats, and assumed they were in the form of a treat or chew. However, once I got past the inherent messiness of powdered vitamins, it was easy enough to use the enclosed scoop, sprinkle it over my cats' food, and they actually seemed to enjoy the addition. Definitely helps if you've gotten your cats warmed up to the idea of liver treats/supplements. But my boys seemed to enjoy it just fine and the powdered remnants were all gone from their kibble within an hour or two. Would get again, especially if it was turned into a treat form that was a bit less messy.
